EN 570:2007 (E) Foreword This document (EN 570:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 Aluminium and aluminium alloys, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2007, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by July 2007. This document supersedes EN 570:1994. Within its programme of work, Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 entrusted CEN/TC 132/WG 11 "Slugs for impact extrusion" to revise EN 570:1994. The following technical modifications have been introduced during the revision: Clause 2: References to EN 754-3, EN 754-7, EN 754-8, EN 755-3, EN 755-7 and EN 755-8 added; Clause 4: Text modified; Clause 5: Text in 5.1.1 modified, former Table 2 deleted and replaced by reference to EN 755-3, former Table 4 deleted and replaced by references to EN 755-7 and EN 755-8; Table 6: Materials EN AW-1090, EN AW-1100, EN AW-3003, EN AW-5251, EN AW-6005A and EN AW-6063 added; materials EN AW-5305, EN AW-5505 and EN AW-5110 deleted.
