BW Framing 4 TEL 01262 400088 EMAIL sales@bw-industries.co.uk WEB www.bw-industries.co.uk Fire Restraint Wall System Design and Certification Design All of BW Industries steel section property information and load tables have been independently assessed and verified under the SCI Assessed Scheme Calculation of the member resistances. The section properties are calculated in accordance with BS-EN 1993-1-3 (Design of steel structures. Part 1-3 General rules Supplementary rules for cold-formed members and sheeting BSI 2006). They are provided as an aid to designers and specifiers to allow selection of the optimum section. Manufacture The information on any fabrication drawings and details is programmed into a Cam data file which is transmitted directly to the rolling or fabrication plant. All major components are normally ink jet printed to show what they are and from which material they have been formed. This process is so that there is a trail which shows exactly what has been manufactured. Certification BW Industries have developed steel section property information and load tables based on the methodology in the relevant European standards. All technical information has been developed by a chartered structural engineer and has been independently checked and verified by the SCI. BW Industries are pleased to display the SCI logo and to confirm that their products have achieved SCI Assessed status with the appropriate certification. We are also a proud member of the Light Steel Framing Group. Photograph of SureBUILD Stud Section undergoing testing at Sheffield University. Dispatch and Supply BW Industries have a team of experienced personnel who hand pick the items for dispatch and load these onto the vehicles which have been arranged for onward transportation. Depending on the end users requirements, specialist vehicles with on board lifting equipment can be arranged to facilitate material off-loading at the delivery address. CE Marking BW Industries Limited Factory Production Control was third part assessed against EN 1090-1:2009+A1 2011, by SGS UK. We achieved accreditation to EXC2 and standard ISO 14731 and ISO 3834. This certification covers the following products: Steel Structural Purlins, Mezzanine Steel Channels, Fabricated Structural Steel Assemblies and SureBUILD Engineered Wall Panels.

BW Framing 6 TEL 01262 400088 EMAIL sales@bw-industries.co.uk WEB www.bw-industries.co.uk BW Steel Framing Systems Overview The market for steel framing is quickly expanding throughout the domestic, educational, commercial and industrial sectors. With its many benefits including speed of construction and erection, high strength and long life, it is fast becoming an economic and versatile alternative. BW Industries have invested heavily in the development of our framing systems to ensure that we are at the forefront of technology. With expert design and product quality our cold formed light gauge steel framing is already widely used in the building industry for many applications. Our innovative technology and manufacturing methods are backed up by a dedicated and highly experienced team, who strive to constantly improve and maintain the high service level and product excellence. We offer three framing systems, SureBUILD Framing, SFS Framing and Partition and Dry Lining Sections, all of which offer flexibility, high performance, accuracy and precision, and weight reduction compared to other traditional building methods. We can deliver the steel to site pre-punched and cut to length ready for installation. The BW Industries SureBUILD Framing System is a sophisticated pre-panelised system that is riveted together within our factory, and delivered to site in fully formed panels ready for installation. It is loadbearing and offers a fast and efficient alternative to more traditional methods of construction. The BW Industries SFS Framing is used for continuous, infill and high bay separating walls. We have a range of standard stud and track sections that are suitable for these applications. The BW Industries Partition and Dry Lining Sections are used for dry lining and partitions to create non load bearing internal walls in residential, industrial and commercial structures. We can also manufacture bespoke section sizes with our vast range of machinery, which is capable of rolling stud and track sections from 50mm to 500mm deep with a range of gauges from 0.5mm to 5mm. BW Framing 8 TEL 01262 400088 EMAIL sales@bw-industries.co.uk WEB www.bw-industries.co.uk SureBUILD Framing System Overview BW Industries have installed a SureBUILD Framing rolling mill, housed in by a purpose built factory, to produce a range of steel framing that can be supplied in either stick form or fully assembled panels. The assembled panels are fitted together using a sophisticated Rivet System, which is both time and cost effective. The SureBUILD light gauge steel framing is a sophisticated load bearing wall framing system that offers fast erection and completion and also increased stability and durability. It is ideal for off-site construction, house building and multi-storey applications. Fully load-bearing and non-load bearing options are available, and we can provide in-house design and drawing facilities. Complete with fully-integrated 3D CAD/CAM design software by Vertex Systems and combined with the production facilities and the experience of BW Industries, this product offers performance, predictability and design flexibility. Vertex Building Design (BD) is an advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM) software package for cold-rolled steel framed construction. Utilising BIM technology, this stand-alone software maximises productivity and accuracy by generating wall panel drawings, material reports and manufacturing data all from one source. To save on design time, wall framing drawings are automatically produced, with every component having a unique identification number. Once the design is complete, manufacturing data is transferred directly from the VertexBD software to the BW Industries SureBUILD rolling line where each part is rolled and printed with its unique number. The components produced offer a flush finish panel, and the sections can be pre-punched to offer service slots or holes to suit your individual application.

TEL 01262 400088 EMAIL sales@bw-industries.co.uk WEB www.bw-industries.co.uk 9 BW Framing SureBUILD Framing System Key Facts and Benefits BW Industries SureBUILD sections are supplied in two standard widths of 75mm and 100mm Gauges for the 75mm section comprise 1.0, 1.2 and 1.5mm Gauges for the 100mm section comprise 1.2, 1.5 and 2.0mm *2mm from a lesser yield Used for load bearing applications Full stand-alone structural system Eliminates the need for hot rolled steel or a concrete primary frame Swaging of the vertical studs allows for a flush finish wall profile which facilitates fixing of boarding or linings. The bottom corners of the studs are trimmed prior to folding the section to allow the stud to sit directly onto the face of the bottom track thus giving direct transfer of vertical load rather than through the fixings Window and door openings are easily accommodated Bracing formed from the stud section can be incorporated within the wall structure, which is strong both in tension and compression therefore eliminating the need for external cross bracing. BW Industries have the ability and capacity to supply SureBUILD in either stick form or fully assembled panels The steel gauges are core steel thickness plus the standard (Z275) zinc coating thickness of 0.04mm. Sections are generally manufactured from the grade S450 steel with a minimum yield strength of 450N/mm² (2mm from lesser yield) SureBUILD Framing offers increased stability and durability

BW Framing 26 TEL 01262 400088 EMAIL sales@bw-industries.co.uk WEB www.bw-industries.co.uk Partition and Dry Lining Sections Overview Partition and Dry Lining walls are made up from light gauge sections that create the internal walls in residential, industrial and commercial structures. BW Industries Partition and Dry Lining range lead the way in light gauge pre-galvanised steel sections. It can be used to make non load bearing walls in refurbishment and new build developments. There are many advantages that come with using BW Partition Sections such as minimal snagging, no shrinking or splitting and also the resistance of fire, insects and rot. They can be easily insulated and boarded to achieve fire and acoustics ratings subject to specification requirements. Our cold formed galvanised components are roll formed in stick form for assembly on site. We produce them cut to length to suit individual applications in either plain lengths or pre-punched for services etc. This modern technique of manufacture allows for fabrication of components to much better tolerances than traditional methods of construction. Speed on site and ease of installation reduces costs, making the BW Industries system a time and cost effective solution against direct material comparisons.
