INSTALLATION Step 2: Determine in which unit the CO 2 sensor is to be installed: The following is for units with economizers. 6.5-12.5 Ton Predator Units 3-6 Ton Sunline Units 15 - *25 Ton Sunline Units For 6.5-12.5 Ton Predator Units PITOT TUBE Step 3: Mount pitot tube in side of damper frame in prepunched holes. DAMPER FRAME Step 4: Attach clear hose to the pitot tube. Make sure the In-line filter is connected to "H" on the pitot tube. Step 5: Mount CO 2 sensor base in place on the economizer using two 8 X ½" PAN/PHIL screws provided. Step 6: If the unit has a W7459 Economizer Control, install the Honeywell Q769C potentiometer signal converter, if not skip to Step 8. ECONOMIZER LOGIC CONTROL CO 2 SENSOR BASE Step 7: Make sure to secure the Q769C device using the included wire ties. Route the wires (raw end) through the square holes in the mounting bracket. Then disconnect the (P-P1) jumper from the economizer control located on the actuator and connect the Q769C per wiring Diagram # 80CO201. Step 8: If a W7212 Economizer Control is used, wire per Diagram # 80C0202. Q769C
INSTALLATION Step 9: Mount CO 2 sensor on CO 2 sensor base. Step 10: Connect clear hoses to CO 2 sensor. For W7459 Economizer Controller applications Step 11: Power the CO 2 device via a properly protected, field supplied, non-grounded transformer of the appropriate primary and secondary voltage per the attached Diagram # 80CO201. Program the CO 2 sensor per the HOSES For W7212 Economizer Controller applications Step 11: Use supplied "Splice" harness to obtain power; See Diagram # 80C0202. Program the CO 2 sensor per the PITOT TUBE IN-LINE FILTER
INSTALLATION For 3-6 Ton Sunline Units Step 3: Mount the pitot tube assembly in the bracket taking care to orient the pitot tube in the direction of airflow indicated by the arrow on the pitot tube. The direction of airflow will be determined by whether the unit is configured in a downflow application or a sideflow Place the probe through the 7 8" hole in the bracket and secure with the two 8 x ½" screws provided. Step 4: Mount the CO 2 sensor base on the bracket using two 8 x ½" screws provided. Step 5: Attach the clear hose to the pitot tube. Make sure the in-line filter hose is connected to "H" on the pitot tube. Step 6: Mount the CO 2 sensor on the CO 2 base and connect the clear hoses to the CO 2 sensor ports. Orientation of the hoses is not critical as either hose can be connected to either port. Step 7: Locate the return air access panel and the two screws located in the lower corner. One screw secures an insulation retainer (discard the retainer) and the other secures the unit base to the base rail. Retain these screws for later use. Step 8: Remove the two screws mentioned above and insert the bracket, with the devices premounted, using the screws previously removed. Step 9: Trim the clear hose so that it easily reaches between the probe and the base making sure to allow for sufficient space for the in-line filter.
INSTALLATION Step 10: The finished installation should then appear as shown in the picture. For W7459 Economizer Controller applications Step 11: Install the Honeywell Q769C potentiometer signal converter Step 12: Make sure to secure the Q769C device using the included wire ties. Route the wires (raw end) through the square holes in the mounting bracket. Then disconnect the (P-P1) jumper from the economizer control located on the actuator and connect the Q769C per wiring Diagram # 80CO201. Step 13: Power the CO 2 device via a properly protected, field supplied, non-grounded transformer of the appropriate primary and secondary voltage per the attached Diagram # 80CO201. Program the CO 2 sensor per the For W7212 Economizer Controller applications HONEYWELL Q769C Step 11: Wire per Diagram# 80C0202. Step 12: Use supplied "Splice" harness to obtain power; See Diagram # 80C0202. Program the CO 2 sensor per the
INSTALLATION For 15-25 Ton Sunline Units: Step 3: Mount the 15-25 ton bracket by screwing bracket to economizer (with drill screws provided). The bracket should be 3.0" down from top edge of economizer frame, and flush with the inside edge of frame. TYPICAL ECONOMIZER f HOLE FOR SNAP BUSHING Step 4: Drill a 7 8" hole, 6.0" in from the top outside corner of the economizer, between the economizer and the Wiring harness. TOP EDGE INSIDE EDGE Step 5: Install snap bushing (provided). (Heyco P/N SB 875-8, or equivalent.) TYPICAL PARTITION PANEL
INSTALLATION Step 6: Drill a 7 8" hole, 15.0" in and 9 1 8" up from the lower left corner of the economizer partition panel. Step 7: Drill one 1 8" hole at 15.0" in and 7 ¾" up from the lower left corner of the economizer partition panel. TWO 1 8 HOLES Step 8: Drill one 1 8" hole at 15.0" in and 10 ½" up from the lower left corner of the economizer partition panel. 7 8 HOLE Step 9: Drill one 1 8" hole at 13 5 8" in and 9 1 8" up from the lower left corner of the economizer partition panel. Step 10: Drill one 1 8" hole at 16 3 8" in and 9 1 8" up from the lower left corner of the economizer partition panel. Step 11: Mount the pitot tube assembly in the Economizer Partition Panel taking care to orient the pitot tube in the direction of airflow. The arrow on the pitot tube indicates this. The direction of airflow will be determined by whether the unit is configured in a down flow application or a side flow Place the probe through the 7 8" hole in the Partition Panel and secure with the two 8 x ¾" Pan/Phil screws (provided). Step 12: Attach the clear hose to the pitot tube. Make sure the in-line filter hose is connected to "H" on the pitot tube. Step 13: Route tubing through wire ties as needed to prevent tubes being pinched. Step 14: Mount the CO 2 sensor base on the bracket using 8 x ½" screws provided. Step 15: Mount the CO 2 sensor on the CO 2 base and connect the clear hoses to the CO 2 sensor ports. Orientation of the hoses is not critical as either hose can be connected to either port.
