GENERAL Waste Heat Recovery boilers of Series AHK are steam generators in special smoke tube design to utilize hot waste gas from industrial processes generating high or low pressure saturated steam or hot water They are principally of customized design to meet the requirements of every application in order to achieve the utmost possible result of heat recovery Most of the time boilers of series AHK are installed down stream of diesel or gas engines as well as gas turbines to utilize the hot waste gases Even in combination with cogeneration units valuable resources can be saved The AHK is connected to the waste gas sources by flue gas ducts In order to achieve a comprehensive controllability a bypass system is installed to bypass the AHK directly into the chimney Economiser can be installed to maximize the heat recovery B E N E F I T S reducing fuel consumption and decreasing operation costs by substituting conventional boiler systems raising the plant efficiency cost-efficient design, hence fast return of investment (ROI) customized design for each application easy integration in each existing boiler system safe and space-saving installation 72 hrs operation without supervision by most advanced safety and control equipment

DESIGN Waste Heat Recovery boilers of Series AHK are shell boilers in one pass smoke tube design Flue gas boxes at boiler inlet are channelling the hot flue gases into the smoke tubes At the boiler outlet one common flue gas box collects the flue gas and leads it via a flue gas duct to the chimney In the one pass smoke tube design the smoke tubes of the AHK are welded into both boiler end plates hence avoiding cost intensive internal flue gas reversing installations The AHK can be designed for horizontal or vertical flue gas inlet and outlet depending on the local situation In case of expecting interacting impact of the different flue gas sections in the AHK - ie different flue gas pressure levels the flue gas sections can be totally separated from each other This goes with the entire AHK including the economiser The generous water and steam space of the AHK guarantees a perfect dry steam with no carry over and a short reaction time during load fluctuation
