Key elements for the preparation of a gas day Conditional, Flow Plus and UIOLI available capacities SAM publishes the overall Available Capacities for Conditional and Flow Plus on D-day for D+1 before 2pm SAM calculates Available UIOLI Capacities every day on D for D+1, taking into account Customers Requests. These Capacities are published before 6 pm. Such a publication maybe overridden by available UIOLI capacities at the time of the allocation, at the latest at 10pm. 9 Training SAM - September 2012

Key elements for the preparation of a gas day Maintenance In case of maintenance, daily capacities are impacted: daily base Capacities are reduced taking into account reduction factors related to maintenance. no Conditional and Flow Plus capacities are available. In SAM, daily capacities displayed include maintenance, except for the Monitor Contracts screen. D+1 Nominations and forecasts Requested Quantities for D+1 must be nominated : Every Day D before 2pm, for the Injection or Withdrawal BCFP Daily Request Quantity for D+1 for each Operational Product Every Day D before 8pm, the Injection or Withdrawal Daily Request UIOLI Quantity for Day D+1 for each Operational Product. 3. D+1 Nominations and forecasts The Customer Nominations can be sent as forecasts by file. There are 3 forecast types : Weekly Monthly Seasonal In Sam, it is also possible to manually enter nomination forecasts for gas days starting from D+2, for all kinds of nominations including UIOLI. 14 Training SAM - September 2012

3. Progress of a gas day (Intra-day) Split up per hour for SAM In SAM, daily capacities and nominations are splitted up into hourly values. 3. Progress of a gas day (Intra-day) Flow Reversal and matching Flow Reversal Service : you can reverse the flow direction during the day. A Flow Reversal takes place at an H-Hour as soon as the Daily Quantity Requested is strictly below the BCFP quantities considered delivered at this H- Hour. Conditional, Flow Plus and UIOLI cannot be reversed in intra day Only one flow reversal is allowed per day Matching with GRTgaz : Application of the «lesser-of» rule Checking of the compliance with our contractual rules yes no New scheduled quantity Back to the previously scheduled quantity 20 Training SAM - September 2012

SAM in a double run since 1 st April 2012 Double run since 1 st April 2012 Since April, 1 st, all the data entered into SICS are sent to SAM for processing All the gas days have been processed by SAM since the beginning of the 2012-gas year Our teams have checked that both systems (SICS and SAM) produce the same results SAM contains all the data for the 2012-gas year After SAM goes live, consulting data prior to the present gas year will no more be possible SICS remains available in a reading mode until 30 th September 2012 Thanks to the double run system, the history of all data of the present gas year is available in SAM 28 Training SAM - September 2012

Switching from SICS to SAM Clients portal Before the switch : Your forecasts and nominations must be entered into SICS All the nominations and forecasts are sent by SICS to SAM for processing : all the deliveries since 1 st April 2012 exist in SAM and are identical to SICS. You can check your scheduling notices and delicery statements in SICS The Ids for SAM are sent to you (but not yet active). From 10am (Paris time) on Tuesday 18 Septembre : Access to SAM All the nominations and forecasts previously entered into SICS can be seen and are processed by SAM You can enter your first nominations into SAM And check your first scheduling notices and delivery statements in SAM The deliveries since 1 st April 2012 can be seen in SAM. 30 Training SAM - September 2012

5. Switching from SICS to SAM EDIG@S The switch from SICS to SAM has no impact for EDIG@S users Before the switch : The EDIG@S files are processed by SICS. All the files are sent in parallel to SAM for processing From Tuesday 18 Septembre, 10am (Paris time) : The EDIG@S files are processed by SAM. 31 Training SAM - September 2012
