Overview [1/3] Microbox-Bio Microbox Bio is Galileo s top of the line fully integrated upgrading and compression package for compressed biomethane gas (CBM) stations. Plug and play, intrinsically safe and easy to use, Microbox Bio represents the most advanced state of the art technology in the clean fuels industry.

Overview [2/3] Microbox-Bio Microbox Bio reduces installation complexity because it does not require the completion of specific civil works and set up of additional components. Its plug and play configuration features all the elements required for a direct connection to biodigesters and reduces operating costs as well as the area required for installation. Microbox Bio includes a ZPTS upgrading unit, MX compressor, electrical or gas drive, electric board, automatic lubrication system, gas cooling system, blowdown, metering bridge, storage, SCADA and all the essential support systems for a fully operating CBM station in a compact design which reduces installation costs and times. Microbox Bio modularity, lightweight, economic transportation and easy installation make it the most flexible solution for future expansions, relocations and the equipment s financing.

Main Features [1/2] Microbox-Bio PLUG & PLAY: The Microbox concept substantially reduces installation costs as it has all the necessary elements for a quick, complete and safe installation. Due to its easy installation, many costs are avoided. A traditional compressor with a bunker will take 40 to 90 days to begin operation, while the Plug and Play Microbox will only require 4 days. DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE BIODIGESTER AND BIOMETHANE UPGRADING SYSTEM (ZPTS): The undesirable components contained within biomethane (H2O, H2S, COV, siloxanes, CO2) are removed by an integrated ZPTS upgrading system. Once purified, the CBM fulfills the characteristics necessary be transported to a valorization site for its injection into the natural gas grid, or for use as fuel for heavy goods vehicles or power generation. WATER COOLING SYSTEM: It refrigerates the system and supplies heat to ensure biodigester s thermal operating conditions FULLY MODULAR: Microbox is fully modular. It allows you to integrate any of our modules according to your needs. HIGH PERFORMANCE: Microbox includes a MX Compressor. Its unmatched performance, reliability and low operating costs can provide flow rates ranging from 300 Sm3/h to over 20000 Sm3/h using one single unit. SMALL AREA REQUIRED: Due to its novel concept and compact design and since it does not require a perimeter bunker, Microbox only requires a small area. OIL FREE GAS: Uncut packing ring sets special polymer alloy for oil free service DIRECT COUPLING: Galileo s MX compressors are directly coupled to the main drive, thus reducing more than 8% of power consumption compared to a transmission belt. DUAL COOLING FANS For greater reliability. DIGITAL ALARMS: Programmable with a historical record.

Main Features [2/2] Microbox-Bio PROGRAMMABLE START UP: Compressors start and stop parameters can be adjusted to consumption levels. AXIAL FLOW INLET PRESSURE REGULATOR: Ensures high pressure stability under minimum pressure loss. VIBRATION FREE: Vibration damping systems are not necessary. Our compressors and laser shaftalignment technology applied to the compressorengine assembly eliminate noticeable vibrations. Nevertheless, all our equipment include an automatic vibration detector that stops the compressor in the event of vibrations that could show a possible failure. WIDE RANGE OF INLET PRESSURES: The wide variety of compressors available allows you to work with inlet pressures from 0.10 bar to 60 bar, ensuring the flow rate required by the station. INTERNET READY: SCADA allows monitoring and real time control of all variables of installation from anyplace. INTEGRATED LUBRICATION MANAGMENT SYSTEM Pre lubrication pump: Ensures optimal lubrication even on intermittent operating conditions. Automatic oil replenishment system: Allows operating periods for over a week without any operator s intervention. UNLOADED START: Integrated blowdown vessel and by pass valves unload compressor before stopping, thus reducing power consumption and equipment wear.

Options [1/2] Microbox-Bio ARMOURED CABIN: Microbox is equipped with an armoured cabin, making the bunker construction unnecessary. FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM: The fire protection system prevents, alerts about, and extinguishes fires, saving lives and property. POWER CONSUMPTION, ENERSAVE SYSTEM: ENERSAVE is an intelligent system developed by Galileo, which adjusts power consumption according to the station s demand. In addition, it achieves savings of up to 50% on power consumption. ENHANCED DISPATCH. COLDBOX SYSTEM: The ColdBox system cools the gas before sending it to the vehicle s gas cylinder. By reducing the heat generated when refueling, each cylinder can be filled up by an additional 15%. This increase in volume will proportionally increase sales and the station s profits significantly.

Options [2/2] Microbox-Bio VARIABLE FAN SPEED: Fan speed varies according to heat exchange requirements, reducing noise level, power consumption and start up peaks. PRIORITY PANEL: One or more ways priority panels manage outlet flow to ensure dispatch capacity and maximize storage use. AUTOMATIC STORAGE VENTING: Automatic safety system that vents all the gas stored in case of an emergency. CE OR UL INSTRUMENTS: CE or UL certified instruments can be provided upon request. HIGH PRESSURE KIT (350 BAR): Where local regulations allow for it, the high pressure kit enables your system to work at higher pressures, increasing your storage capacity and reducing the number of starts and stops of the compression system. GAS LEAK SENSORS: Gas sensors that monitor incabin gas levels are available. GAS COMMANDED VALVES: Every actuated valve in the equipment can be commanded by CNG. This eliminates the need for an external compressed air supply and turns the Microbox into a fully autonomous equipment.

Virtual Pipeline Biomethane gas distribution system

Overview [1/3] Virtual Pipeline The impact of climate change and the importance of energy cost in everyday life foster the need to tap into biomethane production alternatives. However, the dispersion and abundance of biomethane sources turns the laying of pipelines economically unsustainable to take this gas to consumers. Virtual Pipeline connects consumers with biomethane sources, monetizing resources that currently have no value and providing energy to isolated regions. Its technology makes it possible to upgrade and compress biomethane right at the source; transport it by road and deliver it at the pressure and demand levels required by consumers.

How it works [1/6] Virtual Pipeline

SOURCES 1 MOTHER STATION TRANSP! Upgrading The undesirable components contained within biomethane (H 2 O, H 2 S, COV, siloxanes, CO 2 ) are removed for optimal biomethane upgrading. Once purified, the CBM fulfills the characteristics necessary to be transported to a valorization site for its injection into the natural gas grid, or for use as fuel for heavy goods vehicles or power generation. 2 At the mother station, Microbox Bio compressors connected to biodigesters compress biomethane at a pressure of 250 bar (3625 psi). CBM is sent from the compressors to the PAC platforms that work as a fixed support and load source for the MAT modular containers. MAT containers can store 1500 Nm3 (420 GGE) of ambient temperature CBM at a pressure of 250 bar (3625 psi). 3 [2/6]

TRANSPORT DAUGHTER STATION 4 5 6 Once the VST trailer arrives at the consumption center, MATs are connected to a PAD F unload platform. From the PAD F, the CBM can be transferred to a Nanobox compressor which function is to provide biomethane at the flow and outlet pressure required by end users. MATs are transported by road on VST trailers and distributed at the daughter stations located at different consumption centers. VST can transport up to 2, 3 or 4 MATs, and the anchoring mechanism ensures the route is safely done and at the average speed of any freight.! The operation is carried out with the aid of the truck driver only, who immediately continues the route to the following daughter station. [3/6]

TRANSPORT DAUGHTER STATION 7 Finally, gas is distributed through a local grid so houses can replace gas cylinders by a simple stopcock. Industries, power plants and tourist centers can aslo replace the consumption of expensive and polluting fuels by biomethane.! Every time the MATs' gauge indicates the load level is low, the system receives an automatic replenishment order. 8 The Virtual Pipeline makes it possible to install CNG stations even without connection to the gas network. In such case, a recompression system is added to the daughter station that, connected with the EMB dispenser, boosts the loading speed of vehicles. [4/6]

MOTHER STATION TRANSPORT 9 The VST trailer returns to the mother station to replace empty MATs with filled ones. 10 After arriving to the mother station, the VST trailers exchange the MATs brought from the consumption centers with the recently filled ones placed on the PAC. Containers are carefully slid from one platform to another thanks to the anchoring mechanisms controlled by the truck driver. [5/6]
