Many breeders are members of this Magazine. CHRS also publish annual report and elite Animals registered under the CHRS. This information is published every year in the GHO DHARSHAN. CHRS also upload the list of elite Animals ready for sale in recording area in website on Monthly basis with help of NIC, krishibhavan, New Delhi This scheme has played a significant role in assisting State Government, government Undertaking, cooperative Dairies and Private Breeders procuring dairy animals and sires of high genetic potentialities for the use in their Cattle/buffalo improvement programmes. The Breeders have also been benefited by getting higher price for their registered animals and its progeny specially bull calves/bulls of Gir breed. Thus they are encouraged to produce more good animals.chrs can contribute significantly to NPCBB by meeting part requirement of Any other high quality bulls of local cattle and buffalo breeds for the existing and new semen stations information for providing artificial insemination services as well as for the on-going and new local breed related to development programmes for providing breeding services using bulls for natural services. It concerned can enhance its scope of recording of elite cows by helping farmers in feeding, management Unit. and health-care of their animals. The data collected under HRS can also be used for advising farmers on culling decisions as well as for selling and buying of animals. CHRS can also think of establishing self-help groups to channelize credit to participating farmers for buying of animals. It can enhance its scope from recording of elite animals to provide decision support to participating farmers by focusing in a few selected villages in the native tracts of indigenous breeds of cattle and buffaloes and taking maximum number of animals of various breeds under recording within the selected villages instead of recording of elite

animals in many scattered villages as has hitherto been done under CHRS. Map Showing Recording area and centers Related Links 1. Ministry of Agriculture, Department of DADF 2.
