Premixer The original patented DEMACO premixer. In seconds, the DEMACO premixer coats the dry ingredients with the liquid ingredients. This system assures an even distribution across the entire mix. The result is more hygienic and efficient mixing. Mixer The original and best USDA approved sanitary mixer. Function To deliver a consistent homogenous dough to the extrusion unit To provide adequate residence time and action to allow hydration of semolina particles Processing Key Success Factors Residence Time Mechanical action Control of all process variables and mix ratios The delivery of a consistent dough to the extrusion unit A fully vacuumized mixer is desirable to minimize oxidation and maintain the nutty wheat flavor of durum semolina. Vacuum is recommended for dry pasta operation. Options and Configurations Available in vacuum and non-vacuum models. On vacuum models the entire mixer is kept under vacuum to maintain optimal color and taste profile.
