Traditional and Advanced Air Quality Control Solutions

Message From The President Company Overview MET Marsulex Environmental Technologies is committed to providing innovative air quality control systems in a solution driven manner. Our storied history, which began in 1934, has always incorporated quality solutions and business integrity. We offer state-of-the-art technologies to enable utility and industrial clients to meet strict regulations for particulate, sulfur dioxide and acid gas emissions. Our advanced technologies and global experience has earned us a position of leadership in the global initiative of air quality control. Dear Client, Partner and Colleague, As a major supplier of air quality control solutions, MET Marsulex Environmental Technologies Corporation has always been dedicated to providing the highest quality of advanced and traditional air quality control technologies while maintaining the highest integrity. We pride ourselves on focusing on the client s needs and providing value through experienced technical teams and flexible business models. We have provided engineering design and material supply for our conventional and advanced air quality control technologies on hundreds of projects around the world. MET s size and commitment allows us to respond quickly, and support clients in a dependable and skilled manner. MET continues to provide modern solutions to meet the increasingly multifaceted air quality regulations. We are, as we ve always been, committed to your success today, tomorrow and for generations to come. Robert H. Cardell, Ph. D. MET President and CEO Experience The heart of MET continues to be our experienced team of engineers, designers and project managers who are all committed to providing our clients the best available solutions to meet the increasingly complex regulations. We place a high level of importance on the service we provide, and each project is performed exclusively by our skilled and knowledgeable employees whose tenure within the industry averages well over 25 years. ISO-9001 Since 1991, the MET business process has been ISO-9001 certified by Lloyd s Register Quality Assurance. This certification is applicable to the development, design and supply of air pollution control systems and ensures the customer receives the highest measure of quality.

Particulate Control Pulse Jet Fabric Filters MET is capable of providing medium pressure Pulse Jet Fabric Filter technologies. The appropriate design is selected based on application and can be configured for new installations as well as conversions of existing ESP casings. Features Low System Pressure Drop High Inlet Particulate Loading Capability Modular Construction Extending Filter Bag Service Life Top Hatch or Walk-in Plenum Access Electrostatic Precipitators With over 600 years of combined experience in particulate control technologies, MET has one of the strongest teams in the industry. Our comprehensive Particulate Control portfolio includes value-engineered Electrostatic Precipitator and Fabric Filter technologies. These modern designs provide the best available technology to meet the stringent performance and reliability requirements in today s worldwide air quality control markets. Our rigid electrode design represents over 50 years of field experience and is applied around the globe with installations exceeding 75,000 MW. This experience provides a solid foundation for proper sizing of ESPs encompassing a wide range of particle size distribution, particle loading and electrical resistivity conditions.

Wet FGD Dry FGD MET offers conventional Spray Dryer technology in addition to advanced Circulating Fluid Bed (CFB)-FGD CFB-FGD MET s advanced Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) FGD technology offers multi-pollutant control with efficient reagent usage. It is one of the first in the marketplace to promote high system reliability and boost removal efficiencies utilizing dual-humidification that injects water at multiple levels and separate from the reagent. This technology can simultaneously and effectively absorb sulfur dioxide, acid gases and associated heavy metals. It demonstrates advantages over conventional dry or semi-dry technologies by minimizing water consumption, improving reagent usage and producing no waste water streams. Our Wet FGD solutions are tailored to each customer s needs and can achieve greater than 98% SO 2 removal efficiency for applications ranging from 100MW to 1,000MW. MET FGD technologies encompass modern strategies to achieve emission compliance in a cost effective and reliable manner. We are a full scope provider, supplying not only technology but also absorber islands, reagent preparation and dewatering systems, ductwork, id fans, support and access steel. Our technologies and solutions are available for OEM, retrofit or upgrade applications. MET s expertise with a broad range of reagents is unmatched in today s market. We offer solutions utilizing ammonium sulfate, limestone, lime, sodium carbonate and magnesium oxide - many of which can produce saleable by-products like commercial grade fertilizer and gypsum. SDA MET s Spray Dryer Absorber (SDA) technology has been demonstrated on coal fired boilers, MSW and industrial applications throughout the world. MET s SDA demonstrates high removal efficiencies of acid gases in addition to high sulfur dioxide removal. Combined with MET s pulse jet fabric filter technology, a complete air quality system is created to address SO 2, HCl, SO 3, Hf, PM 10, and PM 2.5 pollutants. The MET SDA utilizes proven rotary atomizer technology with a gas inlet distribution that provides excellent flue gas/slurry contact. MET s unique gas inlet distribution also allows for plant turn-down flexibility while maintaining removal efficiencies. SO 3 Mitigation MET s CleanStack technology mitigates sulfur trioxide (SO 3 ) emissions from power plants and reduces the equipment corrosion, blue plume and high sulfur bag house issues that it can cause. High levels of SO 3, which stem from firing high sulfur fuels and the presence of a Selective Catalytic Reduction system in power plants, are effectively controlled when CleanStack is added.
