About Us Overview: Newbury is an independent Kuwait based advisory firm which focuses on Debt Capital Markets to mid-sized companies and providing infrastructure support to SMEs. Together with its sister company in Bahrain we provide coverage cross the GCC. Newbury Was founded in 2014, by Mr. Issam Al Tawari on the premise that clients would be best served by professional advisory firm free of the conflicts of interest inherent to large, multi-product financial institutions. We believe that by maintaining the highest standards of excellence we could create a firm unlike any other in terms of capabilities to advice on highly complex strategic transactions, dedication to our client and our experience and professionalism. Our affiliate PBK Advisory is a growing firm in Kuwait providing accounting bookkeeping, internal audit and business consulting services to SMEs. Founder: Mr. Issam Al Tawari was the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Rasameel Structured Finance Company a Capital Markets focused Investment Company supervised by the Capital Markets Authority/Central Bank of Kuwait and Chairman of Rasameel Investment Bank a Dubai based, DIFC regulated bank. His latest area of interest is the development of Islamic debt capital markets. He started his career with Arab Banking Corporation (ABC), Bahrain working in the Commercial Banking area. He then worked extensively on Corporate Finance issues with ABC s what then was a newly incorporated subsidiary in 1994 ABC Islamic Bank to become Associate Director for syndications and marketing. He joined The International Investor (TII), Kuwait in 1998 in the Structured Finance area. His last position with TII was the Chief Operating Officer (COO). He served on the board of directors of a number of companies and funds. He was also the ex- Chairman of Ain Takaful Insurance Company, Kuwait, Kuwait and ex-chairman Page 2

of Binaá & Namaá (Sorooh) Investment Company specialized in financing B.O.T. projects and a co-founder of Ritaj Investment Company. He regularly speaks at Islamic Banking industry conferences and seminars. Key Management: Mr. Khaled Hussein, Partner Khaled is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 15 years experience. He brings a wealth of experience to the practice where he worked in the following entities: Audit Manager in Russell Bedford, Kuwait, Senior Internal audit at Kuwait Finance House, Senior Audit at Crow Horvath, Kuwait, Financial Analyst at ESP, Egypt, Senior Audit in Deloitte Egypt, and Broker at OKAZ Brokerage, Egypt.
