Technical Mortars & Concrete Repair In recent years the repair, protection and strengthening of concrete structures has become a growth area in the construction industry. Reinforced concrete can be a highly durable structural material requiring little or no maintenance. However, it is now recognised that without correct design, mixing, placement and curing the durability of concrete may be impaired. Weber has a wide portfolio of products designed to facilitate a repair in most circumstances, ranging from handplaced materials to flowable or spray solutions. Concrete Repair This popular one day programme explains and demonstrates the important processes and relevant preparation procedures required to complete reliable structural and nonstructural repairs in concrete. A combination of theory & hands-on practical work, this course supports the webercem concrete repair systems which meet the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 which has been mapped to National Occupational Standards for Specialist Concrete Occupations Concrete Repair learning outcomes 3 and 7. Composite Strengthening Glass, aramid, carbon fibre fabric wrap and carbon fibre plate have been developed into a very cost-effective and flexible range of structural strengthening options for the construction industry which can be used in Civil Engineering or during the change of use of Buildings. It is suited to applicators, supervisors and engineers alike. In fact anybody who has an interest in repairs to concrete being carried out successfully will benefit from attendance. Technical Mortars Technical mortars is a course suited for Weber stockists and distributors. The course covers briefly concrete repair products and then concentrates on grouting, anchoring, pavement repair and bedding mortars. It is an intense day course but covers all the issues for anyone wishing to sell construction chemicals.
