REQUEST FOR QUOTATION Q-182/10/24 Page 2 of 4 IN GENERAL: The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay requires the Supply & Delivery of 500 New Composters, all in accordance with the attached specifications/requirements and General Terms and Conditions. The successful bidder will be responsible for all material, labour, equipment and anything else required for the supply and delivery, unloading and setting-in-place, the following described material/product all in accordance with the general specifications and terms described within. The product being specified is Earth Machine Backyard Compost Bin as produced by Norseman Plastics. Where a specific item is specified in regards to a manufacture and model number stated, the Corporation will consider approved equivalents in this respect. The Make and Model Number being offered must be equal to or exceed the material, design, quality, and performance being asked for. The Composters specified are to be considered as MINIMUM specifications and the equipment/material offered shall meet or exceed these specifications. The Composters shall be NEW and the latest models available including the latest modifications available at the time of purchase. The Corporation reserves the right to be the sole judge of the acceptability of the equipment offered, and to purchase the product which in its opinion most closely meets the operating requirements of the using department. Bidders shall fill out confirmation and/or comments of each and every corresponding item as indicated. Failure to complete such confirmation may result in the unacceptability of the tender. The City reserves the right to adjust the quantities upward or downward to meet its requirements and budget allotments, without penalty to the Corporation. The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay reserves the right to award this contract in whole or in part without penalty. All products specified in this proposal may be subject to Council approval and budget funding and quantities may be adjusted and/or items cancelled based on availability of funding. CANCELLATION OF CONTRACTS The City reserves the right to terminate the contract without notice if due to non-performance and unsatisfactory services. The City reserves the right to call in alternate services if the proponent is unable to provide the service when it is requested. Should the City experience any quality problems and/or specification problems with the product being used, the Corporation shall have the right to cancel this contract immediately. AWARDS The City of Thunder Bay, unless it otherwise states, reserves the right to award by item, or part thereof, groups of items, or all items of the proposal, and to award contracts to one or more proponent submitting identical proposals as to price; to reject any and all submissions in whole or in part; to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions, if in so doing, the best interests of the City will be served.
