Redtail CRM is a valuable tool for managing prospect and client information, sales and marketing opportunities, and ongoing service requests. Advicent and Redtail have created a partnership to enable joint customers to benefit from the integration of Redtail CRM with Profiles. This document provides an overview of this integration. The new integration results in increased user-adoption, productivity, and efficiency when using Profiles. Advantages of Integration The integration between Redtail CRM and Profiles enables you to quickly, easily, and seamlessly transition from managing the daily needs of customers and prospects to the financial planning process for clients. Information from Redtail CRM, including client demographics, assets and accounts, income, insurance (long-term care, disability, and life), and liabilities information, automatically populates in Profiles. This greatly increases advisor efficiency and productivity by doing the following: Eliminating duplicated effort and wasted time Advisors no longer have to re-enter key data in both Redtail CRM and Profiles. Reducing data-entry errors Data entered in Redtail CRM flows seamlessly into Profiles. Focusing on the clients Advisors have more time to focus on building their relationship with clients rather than on tedious, manual data entry. Web Integration When you are ready to begin the integration process, follow these steps: 1. Open the Redtail CRM and navigate to the client whose information you want to migrate. 2. From the Common Tasks section, select either Send to Profiles Professional - Web or Send to Profiles Forecaster - Web. Common Tasks section 3. Launch the appropriate Profiles application. If you chose Send to Profiles Forecaster - Web, open Profiles Forecaster. If you selected Send to Profiles Professional - Web, open Profiles Professional. 4. Upon launching Profiles, you will see a search screen. Redtail CRM will search Profiles to determine if a relationship to an existing household and/or case already exists. If there is a match, the application displays only that particular household and/or case. Otherwise, the application displays a list of households based on the clients last name. Search screen 2

After you have performed the search, you have several options: Open a case: If the search screen returns the correct household and you want to open (but not update) an existing case for that household in Profiles, select the case and then click Open Case. Profiles launches, opens the existing household record, and then opens the existing case. The existing household and case are not updated with data from Redtail CRM. Update a case: If the search screen returns a household and you want to update a specific case, select the case and then click Update Case. Profiles launches, opens the existing household record, and then updates the existing case with data from Redtail CRM is overwritten by new data. Any data entered manually in Profiles is not overwritten. Create a new case: If the search screen returns the correct household and you want to create a new case for that household in Profiles, select Create New Case. Profiles launches, opens the existing household record, and then creates a new case for that household. Data from Redtail CRM is used to populate the new case. Create a new client file and case: If no search results meet your criteria or, if no matching results are found in Profiles you can click Create New Household. Profiles launches, and then creates a new household and case. Data from Redtail CRM is used to populate the new household and case. 6. Once you have selected an option from the search screen, Profiles launches using Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication. Profiles then imports and validates the data for the selected household and case. You can now proceed to develop a financial plan for your clients. Supported Redtail CRM Data This section details data that can be exported from Redtail CRM and transferred into Profiles. Variable Annuities Data: The following Redtail CRM variable annuity account information is exported to Profiles: Account asset names (subaccounts) Account asset values Owner Security The integration between Redtail CRM and Profiles is secured by a WS-Trust Security Token Service (STS) using an X.509 certificate. WS-Trust is an industry-standard communications protocol that is applied to secure Web services. The security model is centered around an STS. To use Advicent's Web services, external applications must retrieve a security token from Advicent's STS, and must provide their token to Advicent to authorize and authenticate each request. With this security protocol in place, only valid requests from authorized partners are allowed to communicate with Profiles. This ensures the integrity of the data passed between Redtail and Profiles. Conclusion Advisors use Redtail CRM on a daily basis to manage key data for their clients including demographics, income, accounts, assets, liabilities, and insurance policy information. In many organizations, Redtail CRM is the central repository for this data, and it is refreshed daily with the most up-to-date customer information through external data feeds.
