OUR ACTIVITIES IN AUSTRALIA TOTAL & AUSTRALIA MORE THAN FIFTY YEARS OF HISTORY Our Australian story began in the early 1960s when Total first decided to explore for oil and gas as part of the company s global strategy to diversify from the traditional heartlands of Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 1963 Total funded some seismic activities in Australia s Simpson Desert, the world s largest sand dune desert covering around 176,500km2 in central Australia. With limited access across this region, a road had to be built to provide support to the seismic activities. Today, this track remains one of the few ways of driving across the desert by four wheel drive vehicle, and is known locally as the French Line. Since that time, Total s upstream activities in Australia have varied from both onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration, to exploration and production of other minerals such as uranium, coal and gold. Fast forward to today and Total is a partner in two major Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Projects in Australia, the Gladstone LNG and Ichthys LNG Projects and continues to grow its lubricants and renewable energy businesses in Australia. Total Exploration & Production Australia Level 13, BGC Centre 28 The Esplanade Perth 6000 Australia Telephone: +61 (0)8 9442 2000 Email: communications-australia.tepau@total.com www.total.com.au To find out more: www.total.com.au It is an exciting period for Total in Australia. In line with our global integrated LNG strategy, our Australian LNG interests will contribute over half of our LNG production capacity increase between 2015 and 2020 from 12mtpa to 20mtpa. Our current investments mean Total is committed to Australia for the long term and we will continue to seek further opportunities to grow. PETTER UNDEM, Managing Director, Total E&P Australia 3

OUR ACTIVITIES IN AUSTRALIA EXPLORE AND PRODUCE A STRONG PARTNER, PROUD TO BE PART OF AUSTRALIA S LNG SUCCESS As a global and integrated leader in LNG, Total has interests across the world, including Australia. Recognising Australia s potential some years ago, Total re-entered the Australian market in 2005, looking at a range of conventional and unconventional gas opportunities. We then entered into partnerships on two major LNG developments; the Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG Project (Ichthys), located offshore northwest Australia and in Darwin in the Northern Territory; and the Santos-operated Gladstone LNG (GLNG) Project in Gladstone, Queensland, as well as securing acreage for exploration in partnerships with various companies. These two LNG mega projects will contribute over half of the Group s LNG production capacity increase between 2015 and 2020. Accordingly, Australia is a key part of Total s global portfolio. Ichthys CPF World s largest semi-submersible platform, overall weight around 120,000 tonnes FPSO 85,000 barrels per day of condensate at peak Longest subsea pipeline in the southern hemisphere at 890kms, 42-inch wide and about 200,000 tonnes of steel Onshore 8.9 mtpa LNG Ichthys LNG Project. Total holds a 30% interest in the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project which will develop approximately 3 billion barrels oil equivalent of reserves, including around 500 million barrels of condensate. INPEX holds 62.25% of the Project with the remaining equity held by a combination of CPC Corporation Taiwan, Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric, JERA and Toho Gas. The Ichthys gas and condensate field is located approximately 220kms off the northwest coast of Australia. At the site of the field will be subsea systems connected to offshore processing facilities, including the Central Processing Facility (CPF) which will be the world s largest semi-submersible platform and the Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) vessel that will Sail away of the Central Processing Facility (CPF) Photo credit: Inpex 4

OUR ACTIVITIES IN AUSTRALIA process, store and export condensates. Connecting these offshore facilities to the onshore LNG plant, being built at Bladin Point near Darwin in Northern Australia, will be an 890km pipeline, one of the longest subsea pipelines in the world. Overall production from the Project will be 8.9 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, 1.6 mtpa of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, and 100,000 barrels a day of condensate at peak. A Final Investment Decision (FID) on the Project was taken by the partners in January 2012 and first production is expected towards the end of 2017. The entire annual production of LNG from the Ichthys LNG Project has been sold for 15 years under oil-linked price contracts, mostly direct to third-party consortiums of Taiwanese and Japanese buyers including INPEX. Aside from our financial commitment to the Project, Total has around 50 secondees working on the Ichthys LNG Project to provide project management and technical expertise, including Louis Bon, the Project s Managing Director. Safety is a core value, the cornerstone of our operational excellence and that of our partners I am very proud to be heading up the Ichthys LNG Project which is achieving major milestones such as the sail way of the Ichthys Explorer CPF from Geoje, South Korea. We have many more milestones ahead of us such as the sail away of the FPSO and completion of our LNG Plant. We will continue with the drilling of our wells and are starting to operate some of our facilities with the introduction of utility gas into the LNG Plant. The Ichthys Project has 50 TOTAL secondees integrated into the INPEX organisation - each of whom is doing a magnificent job. LOUIS BON Managing Director, Ichthys Project Gladstone LNG Project. Total holds a 27.5% interest in the Santos-operated GLNG Project which processes coal seam gas into LNG at Gladstone, Queensland. Alongside Santos, which has a 30% share in the Project, PETRONAS has a 27.5% stake and KOGAS a 15% share. The Project involves extracting gas in the Bowen and Surat Basins, in southeast Queensland, before piping the gas 420km to the LNG plant located at Curtis Island near Gladstone. The LNG plant has the capacity to produce 7.2 mtpa of LNG, and binding offtake agreements have been signed with PETRONAS and KOGAS, totalling 7 mtpa. After nearly five years in construction, the Project exported its first cargo in October 2015, marking the beginning of the Total s LNG production in Australia. Exploring for new opportunities. In Australia, Total has interests in seven offshore exploration licenses - four of which are Total operated - in the Browse, Bonaparte and Carnarvon Basins off the northwest coast of Australia. In the Browse Gladstone LNG Bringing Natural Gas from Coal Seams to International Markets. Photo credit: Santos GLNG Basin, in addition to the permits relating to the Ichthys Project, Total has interests in exploration permits WA-285-P and WA-343-P in partnership with INPEX which is the Operator. Total also holds one exploration permit in the Vulcan Sub-Basin (AC/P60) and two permits in the under-explored South Carnarvon Basin (WA-492P & WA-493P). 5

OUR ACTIVITIES IN ASIA PACIFIC AN ACTIVE PLAYER IN ASIA PACIFIC AMBITION AND RESPONSIBILTY Established in the Asia-Pacific region for almost 50 years, we have steadily expanded our presence there. Our aim is to be a major player in the region by focusing on innovation, technological expertise, project management, growth, profitability, and by maintaining high standards in our operations. The region s demographic weight, buoyant market, industrial know-how and technological advance are significant advantages for our activities. In Asia, we employ more than 13,000 employees from diverse cultures and backgrounds in about 20 countries. From our regional headquarters in Singapore, we are present throughout the entire value chain exploration and production, refining and chemicals, distribution of petroleum products and services, and also solar. Through these different activities, we are committed to better energy. ASIA PACIFIC, A REGION OF PROMISE Total is active in exploration and production, primarily of gas, in 10 countries. In 2016, our production in the Asia-Pacific zone represented 11% of the Group s overall production, with the two main producing countries being Indonesia and Thailand. The region is also home to two of our largest LNG developments, in Australia, and perhaps in Papua New Guinea in the future. The group is also active in the gas midstream, with a share in a regasification terminal in India and a regasification project in Pakistan. In the area of refining and petrochemicals, the growing demand in the Asian markets represents a major outlet for our production. To help meet this new demand we are investing to significantly expand the Daesan refining & petrochemicals complex in South Korea. We are also active in China, with two polymers plants and as a partner in a refinery. With 10 production sites in Asia, Hutchinson our affiliate in specialty chemicals (elastomers) is well placed to supply the Asian manufacturing sector. Total Marketing and Services is present in the Asia Pacific market with a wide range of products and services including retail networks, lubricants, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), special fluids, aviation and bitumen. Operating in 19 countries through our affiliates, we hire over 4,200 employees from diverse cultures and backgrounds across the region where we are strengthening our presence. Our aim is to be a major player by focusing on brand awareness, innovation, continued growth, profitability and high safety standards in our operations. Total has strong ambitions in Renewables and in Solar in particular. The group initiated its development in Japan: SunPower, its affiliate, has already sold more than 1GW worth of solar panels, and on March 1 st 2017, Total started up the 27MWp Nanao PV power plant together with its Japanese partner ISE Group and SunPower. In China, SunPower operates upstream and downstream solar activitieswith the objective of facilitating the widest ranging access to energy, we also develop complementary energy sources such as solar. In Japan, we have started a solar power plant of 80,000 solar panels with ISE Group and our affiliate SunPower, and in addition, we commercialize our Awango by Total solar lamps. In addition, we commercialize in various Asian countries a full Total branded range of individual solar solutions dedicated to those with little or no access to electricity. A HISTORICAL AND SUSTAINABLE COMMITMENT As a partner, Total has historically been playing a key support role alongside operators in several large-scale projects. We have also been maintaining our policy of becoming a member of local communities; this is part of Total s DNA. We are also positioning ourselves to provide Asian countries with a solution to some the questions raised by their power consumption, and the need to control greenhouse emissions. In particular, our regional gas portfolio, the cleanest fossil fuel, fits with our ambition to be the responsible energy major. Today, Asia Pacific provides a great strategic challenge for Total, in terms of innovation, adaptability and profitability, mirroring the challenge of the sector as a whole. 10
