Apple iphone & ipad: Public Features Now our website is on your home page for quick and easy access. When tapped, you can see the available features on the new mobile site. The Futures tab allows you to find a variety of markets, from Currencies to Commodities. Within each of the categories, there are links to several different financial markets, commodities, or indices. Each of these categories can be clicked on for more detail. As a friendly reminder, you should click on the Electronic link because the pits are no longer used for trading. When viewing a specific commodity, you can tap on a monthly contract if you want more detail than is shown. You can also view the chart, and select the style that you prefer to view*. The complete process is demonstrated below on Aug 15 Live Cattle:
The chart can be adjusted to your preferences. You can choose to view a 5 min, 60 min, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly chart, and view the market as a bar, candle, hollow, line, or area chart. Two technical studies can also be placed on the chart: moving average and stochastic. To view each respective study, check the box, then tap the Update Studies link. *In order to reach the chart quicker from the third step above, the chart button next to the commodity can be tapped. Notice that there is a simple site map above the chart, where you can go back Home, or to the Futures category, or back one step to the Livestock subcategory. The home page remains visible towards the bottom of the page, giving you quick access to all of the Brugler website links. This tab gives access to the Ag Market Commentary that we here at Brugler update three times a day, whenever the market is open. Our analysts report on six of the main agricultural commodities, and bring the daily market information to our readers. To read the full post of all commodities, tap Ag Market Commentary. The Events tab allows the viewer to keep up to date with Alan s speaking engagements and monthly webinar dates. It also provides a path to sign up for the upcoming webinar, as well as instructions to access the latest recorded webinar. Subscriber Features To access the following pages, you must be a current Brugler Marketing & Management paid subscriber, or be engaged with a trial demonstration. If you are not a paid subscriber, and would like more information, please visit the Products & Services tab, or give us a call at (402) 289-2330. The Ag Market Professional documents that are sent via email or fax, and posted onto the desktop website and tablet each morning and evening can now be easily accessed on your cell phone. If you do not currently have your email accounts linked to your phone, now you can view the daily AMPs, the AMP Cotton Edition, and the Master Position Tables, all within the palm of your hand. Did you forget Alan s morning marketing recommendations? Did the charts show data that you didn t have time to look at first thing in the morning? You may now access the full AMP while at morning coffee, in line at the elevator, or while talking with your broker or agronomist.
Please note: There are significant differences in downloading and viewing the PDF files whether you have an Android or Apple device, as explained below: Android Phone or Tablet: Android devices do not open up the PDF within the internet browser. Instead, the browser sends the downloaded file to a Downloads section of the device. While downloading, there will be a small downloading arrow in the upper status bar of the screen (see left). Once downloaded, the arrow will change to a checkmark (see right). Pull down the status bar from the top of the screen, and tap the downloaded file in order to read the daily commentary and market recommendations. Apple iphone or ipad: The documents are much easier to access on Apple devices. Simply click on the link to the AMP that you want to read, and your browser will open the PDF on your screen with no further taps required. Here you have the decision whether or not you would like to save the PDF to your phone s hard drive, open it in ibooks, or save a specific report to your bookmarks. A sample screenshot of an SRR on an iphone is shown to the right. The Special Research Reports that are published each week are categorized in the same way as they are on the desktop website. It is here where we provide our exclusive analysis and insight, as well as our popular Price & Probability Forecasts (see on the next page), Market Watch, and Techno-Fundamental Tables. Our SRRs may be accessed using the same methods as the AMPs. Directions for using an Android or Apple device are the same as described above.
The Price & Probability Forecasts can be found within the SRR subdirectory. However, due to its popularity among our subscribers, it was placed on the mobile site home page for quick and easy access. Here, you can view both the Full Reports as well as the Wall Charts updates that are published for each various commodity. If you are not printing out each new P&P and taking it with you in your pickup, semi, or tractor, now you can check it on your phone whenever you are thinking about it. The Watchlist tab is last for good reason. This is the feature that has currently caused the biggest stir for our users, and is the most customizable feature. It allows you to categorize the information found on the Futures tab into personal watchlists for quick and easy access.* *In order to save the watchlist, you must have a user name and password, which is available to paid clients and during demonstrations. Once you tap Watchlist, the page should look like the picture on the left. To get started, click Create a new one. The next page should look like the picture to the left, without any symbols filled into the form. The new watchlist requires a Title. This watchlist has been named Grains. (Other examples include Main, Livestock, or Spring Wheat. ) Use a title that you feel is appropriate. The remaining blank spaces are where you can enter the symbol for a specific commodity when setting up a new watchlist. There are a few different ways to enter the symbols, and each way will produce a different result. See the table below: ***Please note that when you use *1, *2, *3, etc. in place of the contract month letter and year, the contract will automatically roll over into the next front month when the previous month expires. We highly recommend this method. The Fields section shown at right allows you to choose which of these details you want to be seen on your watchlist by checking the corresponding boxes. For those that have trouble memorizing which letter goes with which month, we recommend check marking the Name field. Once the fields are set to your preferences, you need to remember to tap Save Watchlist. See an example of a finished watchlist on the next page.
When you go to view your saved watchlist, it should look similar to the picture below on the left. Please note that it is very similar to the Futures tab, except it only shows the specific contracts that you chose. You can follow the same methods described above in order to reach the detailed information and the charts. *When you navigate away from your watchlist and would like to see it again, tap the View link. From this same page, you can add new, and edit, or delete any watchlist by tapping the corresponding link. Additional Information Do any of these subscriber features interest you?
