Extractive industry and refineries For the extractive and refinery industries, Memar supplies fixing systems such as screws, bolts, nuts and handles manufactured from special materials which are intended for demanding uses. Reliability in spare parts deliveries Thanks to our own extensive raw material stock and flexible production technology, we are able to carry out extremely fast deliveries. The entire production chain, including material specifications, forging, threading and heat treatment, can be found under one roof. Spare parts and subsystems are manufactured according to drawings or prototypes but we also offer designing related to manufacturing technique. Typical applications of Memar s products include large equipment, such as industrial engines, exported for the international market. We handle the entire manufacturing process, from material purchases to assembly and installation. Offshore and maritime Memar manufactures screws, bolts and nuts, among other things, from special materials for the offshore and shipbuilding industries. Our products are used in locations where the greatest strength and resistance to extreme conditions is required from the fixing systems. Thanks to our own raw material stock, we are able to deliver spare parts with the shortest delivery times. Propeller systems and engines on ships and oil rigs are typical targets for our products. Material specifications and management of specifications, product traceability and cooperation with classification institutions are key parts of our operations. Memar adheres to the ISO9001:2008 quality standard. We always supply a material certificate (EN10204-3.1) for our products.
Technology Forging Memar s forged products are custom-made according to the customer s drawings or prototypes. Forged products are manufactured in small and medium-sized series with counter blow hammers and presses. The production of forged products is centralised in our Pirkkala and Toijala offices. In addition to large open- and closed-die forgings, our product range includes forged products for shafts. The customer company may already have products that would be better manufactured via forging. In addition to greater strength, the undisputed benefits of forged products include material savings and savings in machining time. Typically, forging can introduce notable benefits when, for example: A cast part is replaced with a forged product, because the cast is no longer durable. Welded structures are replaced with a forged product to achieve greater strength.
