NZEB Renovation ZEMedS Goals: Requeriment 1: C PE Prod RES 0 Primary energy consumption yearly (heating, cooling, ventillation, DHW and lighting) is produced by local renewable energies. Requeriment 2: C FE 25 kwh/m2 y FE consumption yearly (heating, cooling, ventillation and lighting) per conditioned area Requeriment 3: Indoor air quality guaranteed (CO 2 1000 ppm) and temperature above 28ºC 40 hours yearly during occupancy National factors for conversion in energy and CO 2 have been taken into account (data 2014). 11 Primary Energy from non renewable energy sources covered by renewable energy Final energy Indoor Environmental consumption (all uses Overheating limited to Quality (IEQ) is except DHW & cooking) guaranteed 0 kwh/m².year (annual balance) C FE 25 kwh/m².year 40 hours over 28ºC annually CO 2 1000 ppm
NZEB Renovation Status 12 Actual status refering to the the foreseen ZEMedS Renovation Process Diagnostic /Current Planning Design situation Companies consulting Works Reception of works Use and maintenance Diagnostic/ Current Situtation: A preliminary energy audit developed by the company managing the Energy Supply and HVAC management was developed in 2012. A further investigation is needed for: Detailing actual energy behavior through energy simulation Identifying actual comfort conditions Defining the actual energy saving potential of a set of possible measures Electrical Consumption

Recommended Measures 16 Controlled Natural Ventilation NOW Use and management Demand reduction Energy efficient systems Renewabl eenergy supply Building Manage ment System NZEB Windows Replacement PV System Heating: Functional Sectors and Level Sectors managed by BMS Lighting: Presence Control
Recommended Measures 17 Measure Why is recommended and what Windows Replacement Controlled Natural Ventilation Building Management System Photovoltaic System Replacement is highly needed for all the windows that are still single glass and should be considered d also for the once having double glass without air gaps Energy Saving and Comfort. Avoid wastes due to management. As windows need to be replaced, intervention cost can be limited. For reducing energy waste and optimizing usage efficinecy Further Electric Energy Production
Specific Features and Remarks 18 Specific Remarks Since 2011 a monitoring system is installed, mainly managed by the ESCO which has the energy management contract. These data are accessible in real time by the Province of Macerata but historical and statistical data are not directly accessible. They would be very useful in the dygnosis. Since it is an historical building, special care it is required in the envelope.
Funding Opportunities 19 Relevant Information: The on going contract with an ESCO is ongoing until 2019. In order to define how to proceed, new contract models are being explored, trying to maximize the possibility of investments in building renovation for energy performance.
