Lawrence Convention Center Roadways and Sidewalks and North Shore Garage Interior and Exterior Please acknowledge receipt of this addendum in your proposal. Proposers shall attach this addendum to the Request for Proposal documents now in their possession. The deadline for submitting inquiries related to this RFP has passed. Questions/Answers Does the project aim to meet PennDOT Tunnel Standards for the 10 th Street Roadway: Answer: The 10 th Street Roadway lighting design should fall within the safety standards that the City of Pittsburgh determines meet safety levels. This may include some meeting some PennDOT or similar requirements reserved for underpasses. Under Ft. Duquesne cantilever Should replacements for the in-grade up lights be considered for the RFP? (See photo C below): Answer: At this time the recessed concrete lighting in Photo C is not within the Scope of the Design. Are the recessed down lights in the loading dock area to be included? Answer: Lighting that affects the parts of the Fort Duquesne BLVD light levels are included but the lighting inside of the loading dock ramps are not affected by this RFP. 10th St. pass through / water feature Could the addition of lighting fixtures at the north end of the water feature, underneath Ft. Duquesne Blvd, be considered as an addition to the scope? Answer: The lighting in the Oculus structure over the North End of the Water Feature bordering the water feature and Ft. Duquesne Blvd has been included, as part of Addendum 1, as an addition to the overall RFP. This will be designed and estimated as a separate line item in the overall final product. Along the south side of the building there are wall mounted down lights adjacent to the garage entrance. Should these be included in RFP? (See photo A below) Note: There is also a line of these same fixtures along south side of building on opposite side of 10th St. Answer: The lighting along French Street and above the Garage Lobby and Garage Entrance is not part of this RFP. We consider the sidewalk lighting parameter to end inside the east and west vestibules along 10th street, past the first set of moving doors but stopping at the second set. Is this accurate? Answer: The lighting design should continue through the vestibule/airlock to provide visual continuity with the design. The area between the two sets of sliding doors is a continuation of the sidewalk. Lighting beyond the second set of sliding doors in the interior lobby area is not part of the RFP. North Shore Garage There is a 4th type of exterior sconce/downlight along the east, west, and north facades of the building (see photo B below). Should these fixtures be included in the RFP? Answer: At this time these are not being replaced. They were replaced and refurbished during a recent project. Sports & Exhibition Authority 2
