Gas Turbine Safety using Wet Compression Specific CFD-calculation to optimize the spray rack Advanced compressor coating to minimize corrosion 3-staged filter concept Fully integration in the gas turbine control Gas turbine safety Integrated safety functions to ensure operation within expectations Optimized operation regimes to minimize effects Page 13
Operation Experience Compressor Operation experience with Wet Compression on SGT5-2000E since 2004 : No pitting corrosion could be found at SGT5-2000E No tendency to pitting corrosion Coating loss on the leading edge and on the pressure side, but coating stays intact in the areas where salt residuals are left on the blades and vanes Lasting corrosion protection The leading edge gets rougher (needle structure) but no significant shortening of the blade width by erosion Base blade material not weakened Page 14
