The Right Fit The Right Fit is more than the relationship. We work with our PARTNERS to find the right materials, budget, and process, along with providing a finished product. From start to finish, we will find the Right Fit Amorphous Casting Amorphous Alloy Injection Molding, also known as amorphous metal casting, is Unlike other metal injection molding or injection molding processes, Amorphous Alloy parts come out of the mold in a useable state and does not require expensive sintering or binder removal techniques. Additive Mfg. Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) is a manufacturing technology that uses a fiber optic laser to fuse together layers of metal powder. The parts are "grown" additively, layer by layer, to create fully dense, complex parts within hours directly from 3D CAD geometry. Precision Machining Our parts are manufactured on well-maintained, high accuracy machines in our temperature controlled Denver, Colorado facility. We believe that quality control is an integral part of production. Our processes are designed around the utilization of statistical controls. 4
Technologies Overview Manufacturing Solutions that aren't One-Dimensional
Amorphous Metal Casting Complex Geometries in High Volumes
Amorphous Metal Casting Amorphous Metal Casting, also known as Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG), is capable of producing complex geometries in high volumes using multi-cavity tooling and a proprietary robust low cycle time process. Our most common alloys are Zirconium-based. American made by Materion, a global leader in performance alloys. The advantages of Amorphous Metal Casting Amorphous metal parts come out of the mold in a useable state and do not require expensive sintering binder removal or stress relieving Cast tolerances can easily be +/- 0.001 Extremely limited shrinkage (roughly 0.2%) Almost-optical level as cast surface finish Unparalleled elasticity with hardness comparable to tool steel (54c) 1.46 times the strength to weight of titanium Salt spray tested corrosion resistance comparable to 300 series stainless steel 7

Additive Manufacturing Fusing Together Layers of Metal Powder
Additive Manufacturing Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) is a technology that uses a fiber optic laser to fuse together layers of metal powder. The parts are built up or grown additively, layer by layer, to create a dense end product. Depending on the application, there are recommended options for material condition: Stress-relief, Solution Heat Treat Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) The correct combination of conditioning strategies coupled with the correct build strategy can bring material properties to a high of 96% dense compared to billet form Materials Tool Steel Cobalt Chrome Ti-64 Casting Grade Aluminum Inconel 17-4 SS Alloy development Visser Advantages Part to print & risk mitigation Interchanged sub straights Increased build volume Smart part dumb part build options Non-destructive part testing & qualification EOS - M280 M290 M400 10
Precision Machining Highly Accurate DMG and Makino 5+ Axis Machines
Visser Precision is much more than a conventional machine shop. We tackle the difficult alloys All machine tools are highly accurate DMG and Makino 5+ axis machines All tooling is preset and balanced offline prior to program run All tool path is simulated, then the simulated results are compared to models All jobs are palletized for in-process inspection capabilities Precision Machining We employ Erowa automation to increase spindle on-time and decrease the need for additional operators 12
Proof is in the Details We Take Precision Seriously, it s in our Name
Testing, Testing, Testing Advanced manufacturing capabilities require advanced inspection. Quality and inspection are key to advanced manufacturing and advanced metrology and inspection capability set Visser Precision above its competition. Developing and commercializing an advanced manufacturing process as complex as amorphous metal casting required significant investment in material inspection equipment. Our investment has also proven to complement powder-based processes like our additive manufacturing program. Our ability to dissect completed builds, and understand part densities from both cast and additive processes is second to none. Even more critical to the additive process, we are able to inspect powder size and shape from lot to lot before builds begin. Lastly, our MTS test rig allows us not only to qualify and compare batches of cast parts but also preform destructive test to additive build plate coupons. 14
Class 100,000 Laboratory Providing Piece of Mind with Top-Level Quality Inspections
Total Quality Management No advanced manufacturing solution is complete without the support of a true Quality System. Our quality management system is constantly under internal review to ensure it supports the business but does not become a costly bureaucratic nightmare Projects within VP are driven by our strict quality systems with a focus on continuous process improvement VP is currently ISO13485 certified and AS9100 compliant and has a target certification date of Q12016 A class 100,000 inspection lab provides piece of mind to our partners we can do top-level quality inspections on everything we make. Coupled with our materials inspection capability, this lets us guarantee quality even on the most complex projects 16

Case Studies Proven Solutions for Complicated Tasks
Casting for Tomorrow Complex geometries, rapid prototyping and mass production made simple. Simple or Complex, the possibilities within amorphous technologies are wide open to the imagination Multi cavitation Production and prototype tooling In house mold making and engineering Slides, lifters, interchangeable inserts, Design considerations based on mold flow analysis software results 19
Complex Geometries Made Simple Proprietary amorphous technology provides access to revolutionize solutions When choosing BMG s as a potential manufacturing solution, it s important to break desired target into 1 of 2 categories: Material properties are going to provide a unique solution The manufacturing process is going to provide the unique solution 20
Machined Complexities Complicated forms are possible with 5-Axis machining. Creating near-impossible angles from solid metal has never been more efficient This one of a kind part was machined from 6061aluminum in 2 setups. Reduced weight Maintain form and function Rapid turn around time 21
Additive Parts for Complex Applications DLMS allows for complex applications in a single part. The finished product has been finish machined and ready for use. This part is an example of quickly producing a replacement casting that is no longer available. Reverse engineering capabilities Mesh editing and.stl manipulation 22
Form & Function Honeycomb with the strength needed to get the job done. A simple example to compare weight reduction within a part, without compromising strength and stiffness Solid-120g Honeycomb-40g 23
Smart & Dumb Parts Combined Combining standard parts with additive components is not only possible, it is effective. Adding complex components to simple parts saves time, energy and most importantly costs Reduce machine time Decrease cost per part Ability to repair existing parts Ability to increase feature complexity where needed 24
Size and Weight Reductions Practical needs meet enhanced solutions: Built for our Furniture Row Racing, this part cuts out unneeded steps, components and more. Eliminates risk of leaks Reduced weight by 22% Cost savings over conventional machining and welding Part reduction The parts shown are the traditional manufactured part (left) side by side with the replacement part (right) which was created using DMLS additive manufacturing. 25
Outperforming the Competition Parts to revolutionize racing are just one step taken to lead the way for high performance manufacturing. Built for our Furniture Row Racing partnership, this part cuts out extra steps, components and more The conventional component was a weldment comprised of 3 separate parts; the hub shaft, the steering arm and the upright. The monolithic replacement reduced weight by 5% while improving stiffness by 20% 26
Material Substitution Todays material options. SupremEx has proven to be a great replacement for challenging alloys and even composites. Offering some of the following benefits: Reduced processing costs Reduced weight Improved material properties Substitution potentials Carbon Fiber Be based alloys Titanium Aluminum The parts shown depict a SupremEx replacement for a conventional titanium build. While the stiffness was maintained the weight was reduced by 33% with costs also reduced by 28%. Ti 64 247g SupremEx 164g 27
Creating Our Own Solutions Some solutions require creating our own answers. When the need arises, we craft our own solutions to complex problems which at times can be just a piece to the larger puzzle This part was fully machined in 2 setups.
