ENERGY EFFICIENCY INNOVATION SEMINARS 2016 ENERGY INNOVATION IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT: KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER FROM GERMANY The CRC for Low Carbon Living at the University of New South Wales 24 November 2016 2:00 pm 4:30 pm Lecture Theatre LG05 Lower Ground Floor Tyree Energy Technologies Building Sydney, NSW 2052

About the Energy Efficiency Innovation Seminars Economic Affairs and Energy. Find more German companies with energy efficient products at: http://www.efficiency-fromgermany.info/eneff/navigation/en/home/home.html The GACIC launches a seminar series on energy efficiency & innovation in the built environment in November 2016, following the successful visit of a German trade delegation in early June 2016. Accordingly, the seminar series takes up the significant topic of energy efficiency in buildings and aims at creating an interactive platform to facilitate the formation of lasting and sustainable relationships between German companies (technology innovators) and Australian academic institutions. Three seminars will provide German technology experts in energy efficiency in buildings with the opportunity to present their technologies, applicable to the private, commercial and industrial building sectors and discuss their engagement in Australia with students, lecturers and researchers of leading Australian universities. This seminar series is meant to further promote energy efficiency made in Germany and to reinforce awareness of German technology in Australia. As future corporate decision makers, students provide for an ideal audience to foster longterm knowledge-based relationships between Australia and Germany. About the German Energy Solutions Initiative The German Energy Solutions Initiative brings together energy efficiency knowhow and experience to countries all over the world. The initiative helps to establish contacts with German companies and experts. Companies can benefit from a wide spectrum of services and an international network of experts. This program takes place under the framework of the German Energy Solutions Initiative, supported by the German Federal Ministry for The University The CRC for Low Carbon Living (CRCLCL) is a national research and innovation hub that aims to implement a globally competitive low carbon built environment sector and is supported by the Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) programme. A key intention of the CRCLCL is to help reduce Australia s residential and commercial carbon emissions by 10 mega tonnes by 2020. The innovation hub tries to accomplish this goal through the development of low carbon building construction materials and by increasing the evidence base for government policy and planning.
