Products Tested in this Certification: The ISONAS Crystal Matrix solution has passed all criteria for ACM certification, and is therefore a certified solution for integration with XProtect. The following list contains the tested versions of the products and components from both Milestone and ISONAS that were included in the Access Control Module (ACM) certification process. Networkbased PowerNet reader-controllers integrate with Windows-based software to deliver simplicity, value, and flexibility. With 20,000 readers installed worldwide, ISONAS provides a proven solution that is revolutionizing the industry. The ISONAS Crystal Matrix software package is a full featured Access Control software system. It provides detailed control of all access security related issues. Reports are available for all system activity, as well as real time reporting on who is currently in the facility. Real-time monitoring of the system s activity includes the display of card holder images and floor plans, as well as Operator Override operations such as lock-downs and manual door operations. The system also supports display of configurable alarm conditions. The Crystal Matrix system can initiate automatic actions, such as the scheduled unlocking and locking of doors, through its scheduling features, or the execution of userconfigurable custom action-sets through its scripting features. ISONAS Crystal Matrix also integrates easily into any network topology and has a custom developed integration with Milestone XProtect VMS software which supports the ACM. ISONAS Crystal Matrix and Milestone XProtect Integration Summary: The final result of the integration between the ISONAS Crystal Matrix access control system and the Milestone VMS is the real-time display of the ISONAS managed access control alarms and events in the Milestone XProtect Smart Client, control of locked doors and access requests from within the Smart Client, and synchronization of both live and recorded display of video and images with access control events. The five main processes involved in the integration are: 1. Event and Alarm Linking The ISONAS to Milestone - IM-ACX middleware application receives TCP/IP notifications and requests from the Crystal Matrix system and transmits these to the XProtect system. These notifications and requests are linked to events and alarms through the Access Control Module management menu in the XProtect Management Client and through Alarm Definitions. The Event Server receives and processes these transmissions. Event log metadata can then be used to synchronize XProtect video with ISONAS triggered events. Smart Client/Mobile Client Access Monitor view items within the XProtect Smart Client can be associated with doors and will display ISONAS access control notifications and requests synchronized with video. Control buttons in the Smart Client and Mobile Client (Corporate and Expert only) allow operators to unlock and lock doors, and admit card-holders based upon rules or requests. Access Control Module related map icons can be added to maps and can display status messages. Notifications can be configured to provide pop-up windows which will notify users of specific events even if the Smart Client application is minimized. Events and Alarms triggered by the ISONAS integration and synchronized with video can be viewed in real-time and searched historically. Access control notifications and requests displayed and door controls available in the XProtect Smart Client User defined events triggered in XProtect Clients can cause ISONAS responses resulting from rules defined in XProtect Corporate and Expert. Certification Results: All of the integrated functionality between the ISONAS Crystal Matrix system and the Milestone XProtect system was demonstrated and documented. The integration works on all current versions of the Milestone XProtect Advanced and Professional VMS products which support the ACM. There are no performance problems or chokepoints introduced by the ISONAS integration on any part of the VMS system. systems add benefits to an integrated system on top of the already considerable increased functionality available in the ACM integration. Notes All of the changes were either minor increases, not measurable, or expected increases, and therefore acceptable. Sales Logistics: Product or Solution Availability & Licensing How is the product sold? This product is sold to integrators and distributors. How is the product ordered? They may place a purchase order direct to their inside sales rep. How is the product delivered? The software product is delivered digitally and hardware delivered via standard shipping methods from regional distributor warehouses. How do integrators obtain the required documentation? Once an order is processed all documentation is emailed to the customer. This documentation is also available on our website. How is the integrated solution licensed? There is a license required for this product, the license is sold on a per access point basis. There is not a limit on the number of access points.
