The POLARIS sets a new standard for industrial LED luminaires The unique construction of POLARIS makes it possible to achieve its market leading performance. Smart manufacturing The combination of aluminum high pressure die casting and thixotropic joining technology makes it possible to produce a housing with strength and optimal heat transfer. Driver technology The driver is a chapter itself, making this POLARIS luminaire the most energy efficient on the market. Innovative high voltage electronic design achieves a top-level efficiency of 98%. This compared to industry standard LED drivers with less than 85% efficacy. 98% of the power from the net is converted into light. The driver is designed with no inrush current and immune to high peaks in the electrical net, which occur in industrial environments. Other LED drivers need extra installation work in the switchboards and extra protection devises installed. Up to 20 luminaires can be installed on one standard B16 breaker making this luminaire a TRUE 1:1 replacement for the existing lights. No extra costs. Thermal Management The heat management of the luminaire builds on over 30 years of experience in industrial heat exchange systems. This results in one of the most efficient heat sinks. The integrated electronic thermal management system automatically prevents overheating and dims down the light if the luminaire gets too hot in high ambient temperatures. The use of Thixotropic joining technology creates a heat sink for the LED boards that has optimal heat transfer properties resulting in an even heat dispersion. The design of the cooling fins and the resulting airflow does not only provide perfect cooling but also prevent dust from building on the luminaire. 6 LumoLumen Industrial LED lighting
Control The POLARIS luminaire is equipped with a certified DALI interface through a IP67 (dust and water proof) connection. Through this interface, the luminaire can be connected to a standard DALI network. This makes dimming, manually or automatically based on occupancy sensors, extremely simple to implement using parts from many third party vendors. One significant advantage of the POLARIS LED luminaire compared to any industrial gas discharge lamp is that of the control and dimming possibilities they have. Thus creating extra energy savings by dimming or switching off the lights when nobody is present. Something a gas discharge lamp cannot do as they cannot restart when warm. Key performance benefits to your company The POLARIS luminaire has a World leading system efficiency of 140 lm/w that outperforms traditional SON & Metal Halide as well as many other LED high bay solutions. The POLARIS luminaire is IP67 with a 5 pin-plug for easy and water/dust proof connection. Easy one hanger cable installation for easy and faster 1:1 replacement that provides better ROI. The POLARIS luminaire is equipped with a DALI connection with dimming options and occupancy sensor. DALI provides optional features to add smart lighting to the CMS system. The POLARIS luminaire provides >20 % energy savings to other LED solutions with 110 lm/w and in addition huge energy savings and carbon footprint reduction with up to 85% energy savings with the use of DALI compared to traditional high bay solutions. The POLARIS luminaire has a CRI > 80 and a CQS > 82. The CQS (v9.0.3) is an improved indicator (over CRI) of how well colours are rendered. This is especially important areas where colours plays a significant role such as the cloth and car industry and graphic world.
