The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of hotel sales, front office operations, group housing/reservations, catering, and be up to date on the hotel industry news and economic development. The position will focus on mid-level corporate groups with 100 to 300 guest rooms and will be responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and booking of new and repeat business through various efforts (outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, referrals, and networking). This position will also be required to participate in trade shows and be part of the community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility. The qualified individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office and CI/TY. Other essential functions of the job include being a self-starter, excellent verbal and written communication skills, manages time well, and must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. LOSS PREVENTION Security Supervisor Prior supervisory experience in law enforcement, criminal justice or the military is required. Job duties include enforcing hotel rules, investigating and reporting incidents that may result in claims against the hotel, monitoring security cameras, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the hotel s fire and emergency procedures. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years experience in Revenue Management preferably with the Marriott Corporation. Must have a working knowledge of both MARSHA and PMS as well as being able to become competent in CI/TY. This individual will work closely with our Sales and Event Management Team to maximize total hotel profitability through the proper allocation and pricing of guest room and space inventory for the transient, group and catering demand segments. Responsible for providing our management team with an accurate weekly forecast for scheduling purposes as well. Flexible schedule required hours would vary from week to week depending on the needs of the property. BANQUETS Assistant Banquet Manager The ideal candidate will have a dynamic personality with at least 1 or more years of previous customer service experience, preferably in a full service hotel. Key elements of the position include excellent customer service and communication skills, must be detail-oriented and efficient as well as a high level of professionalism and a complete understanding of the high standards of service expected from the Banquet Department on a daily basis. Job duties include assisting the Director of Banquets in the overall operation of the department, proficiency with Microsoft Office and CI/TY Computer Systems, scheduling and training of staff members, and work closely with the Kitchen, Stewarding, Event Management, Catering Sales, and Group Contacts, Hotel Guests, and Group Vendors. The ideal candidate will oversee the operation of both the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. We are looking for a professional and organized leader to supervise a staff of 70 to 80 diverse associates. The qualified individual should meet the following requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task and have an eye for detail, previous experience with interviewing, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance management, aggressive hospitality and customer service skills must know the meaning of being a Brilliant Host, and must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays. Job responsibilities include managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry operations, facilitating the daily stand-up meeting, work closely with other departments in the hotel i.e. Front Office, Engineering, Loss Prevention and Accounting, maintain inventory records of linens, uniforms, and guest room and cleaning supplies, maintain standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, offices, public spaces, and service areas on a daily basis, make periodic inspections of all areas to ensure that all standards are being met, be familiar with cleaning equipment, supplies and tools, work closely with Housekeeping Management staff to control payroll costs, and negotiate contracts and maintain a working relationship with temporary staffing agencies. Room Attendant We are looking for experienced and dependable Room Attendants. The qualified candidates must have at least 1 year experience in the past three years working in Housekeeping at a hotel. Job duties include being able to clean at least 18 guest rooms per day vacuuming, dusting, making and changing the bed linens, cleaning the bathrooms, restocking all amenities and reporting maintenance problems. Responsibilities include being able to lift 50 lbs. & pushing heavy carts. COFFEE CENTRAL Barista We are looking for an experienced Barista to work in Coffee Central and the hotel s Sundry Shop. The qualified candidate should be professional, dependable, detail-oriented, have excellent customer service skills and a LOVE of coffee!! Job duties include making and selling specialty coffees, iced drinks, smoothies, and assorted baked goods. Other requirements include being able to lift 20 to 30 lbs., being able to stand for long periods of time, and a Liquor Card is required prior to employment.
