BEFORE YOU BEGIN Observe all local plumbing and building codes. Prior to installation, unpack the new lavatory and console and inspect them for damage. Return the lavatory and console to their protective cartons until you are ready to install them. These instructions are for installing the console table to wood frame construction. For other installations, supply suitable bracing and fastening devices of suffi cient size and strength. Suffi cient support behind the fi nished wall, such as 2x6 wall bracing, is required for proper installation. All dimensions given assume that the fl oor and walls are square, plumb, and level. Make appropriate adjustments for other conditions. KALLISTA reserves the right to make revisions in the design of products without notice, as specifi ed in the Price Book. 1. PREPARE THE SITE Wall Bracing (2x6 Minimum) Finished Wall 35" (890 mm) Foot Anchor Holes Finished Floor 20-5/16" (516 mm) 15-7/8" (403 mm) C L Rough-in the water supply lines and the drain piping. Install a minimum of a 2x6 as a wall brace to provide support for anchoring the table to the wall. The brace should be the same length as the console table, and should be positioned 35 (890 mm) from the fi nished fl oor to the top edge of the board. The center of the wall brace should be in-line with the drain outlet. Finish the wall. Mark the centerline on the fl oor and the wall. Mark the location of the holes on the fl oor for the leg height adjustment pins. The holes should be 20-5/16 (516 mm) from the wall and 15-7/8 (403 mm) from the centerline. 3 of 6
2. ASSEMBLE THE TABLE Washers and Nuts Frame Assembly Leg Leg Leg Height Adjustment Pins Invert the frame assembly onto a soft towel or carpet. Attach the legs to the frame assembly with the washers and nuts. Install the height adjustment pins into the bottom of the legs (if not already in place). Turn the table assembly upright. Place the table against the wall in the desired location. Verify the location of the markings for the leg height adjustment pins. Adjust the markings if necessary. Move the table aside to get access to the fl oor markings. Drill a hole 1/4 x 1/2 (13 mm) deep, in the fi nished fl oor for each foot anchor. 4 of 6
3. INSTALL THE TABLE Drill pilot holes. C L Leg Height Adjustment Pins Insert the leg height adjustment pins into the holes in fl oor. Allow the table assembly to lean fl at against the wall. Verify the table assembly is level from front to back and side to side. Adjust the leg height adjustment pins as needed. Pre-drill pilot holes in fi nished wall. Attach the table assembly to the fi nished wall with fasteners suitable for your wall type. 4. STONE TOP HOLE FABRICATION (OPTIONAL) Three faucet holes have been partially drilled from the underside of the console top. On the top, show surface, of the console top, locate the center of the required faucet holes. Using a compass or circle template, draw a circle for the required holes. Using a small hammer, create the faucet hole(s) by gently tapping the console top within the circles until the stone breaks away. NOTE: DO NOT strike the console top with excessive force. DO NOT strike from the bottom side of the console top. This will damage the top surface of the console top. Using a fi le or sanding cylinder, complete the removal of stone material to create a clean round hole. 5 of 6
5. INSTALL THE CONSOLE TOP Place the stone console top upside down onto a soft towel or carpet to install the lavatory. NOTE: When installing the lavatory, use the clips provided with the lavatory and the hardware provided with the console top. Install the lavatory according to the manufacturer s instructions. Turn the stone console top over and place on top of the table assembly, sliding it all the way forward. Place the stone backsplash on the table, in the space between the stone top and the wall. Verify the table assembly is level from front to back and side to side. Adjust the leg height adjustment pins as needed. 6. COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION Apply a bead of caulk or silicone sealant where the stone console top meets the backsplash and where the backsplash meets the wall. Install the faucet and drain according to the manufacturer s instructions. Connect the water supply and check for leaks. Repair as needed. 6 of 6
