I. INTRODUCTION Vietnam 329.297 km 2 with >86 million habitants high density, especially in RRD The demand of foodstuff (domestic, export markets) intensive models Bad practices, knowledge of producer & consumers The abuse & illegal use of chemical State management on food safety, chemical, sales & use Foodstuff unsafe Alerts (articles, TV, Radio ) Consumer s reaction Authorities are at fault It is a concern of members National Assembly (the subject of many discussions in recent regular meetings)
II. II. METHODOLOGY Why Hainoi, Hai Duong, Thai Binh? Hanoi: the largest City, population: 6.472 million after merging with Ha Tay province and Me Linh District of Vinh Phuc Province. Hai Duong: connecting between Hanoi and Hai Phong. 57km at the East from Hanoi and 45km at the West from. The population: 1.706 million. Thai Binh is a northern coastal province situated. About 110km at the South-east from Hanoi and about 70km at the Southwest from Hai Phong. Population: 1.784 million.

IV. CONCLUSION 1. The income levels per inhabitant in this region is still low. The most of households have an income from 1 to 2 million per inhabitant per month (43.11%). 2. Average consumption of animal products is 1.46 kg/inhabitant/week. In there, the aquatic products are most consumed (0.55kg/inhabitant/week), the pork (0.47 kg/inhabitant/week) and the poultry meat (0.34 kg/inhabitant/week). 3. The most of consumers bought the animal meat in the communal markets (> 70%). Other places (supermarket, small stress market) are very few. 4. The most of consumers knew and interested the chemical residues in products of animal meat. The hormone is the first interested by consumers (66.67%), and the residue of antibiotic is the second with the rate of 29.04%.
IV. CONCLUSION 5. The first criteria of meat chosen by consumers is color (34.74%), then the smell (26.84%). Other criteria are also interested by consumers such as seal of veterinary quarantine, clean meat store, acquainted relation with salesman. 6. The consumers prefer mainly the fresh meat (pork) and living poultry (93.3% with the pork and 56.67% with poultry). 7. The consumers are more vigilance with the animal products when the epidemic disease happening. Only 10% of consumers still bought the meat as before.
