The market requires a change in production processes to meet the ever growing request for customised products to satisfy customers' specific needs coupled with quick, certain delivery times. Production volumes are no longer a certainty and manufacturing using statistical analysis is not a valid option. Production diversification is key to success. Biesse responds with technological solutions able to meet the requirements of companies who manufacture to order, with notably reduced costs and cycle times. Insider M is the flexible boring machine that's ideal for batch-1 machining operations and "just-in-time" production. It's the perfect machine for producing both assembled and kit furniture, and for the complementary production of third parties. Machining quality, thanks to the combined boring cycle. Personalisation on the basis of the customer's needs Possibility to configure the machine according to the production and machining requirements. Insider M can be configured in the FB or FT version, depending on the number and layout of the boring heads. Insider M FB can be configured with 4 boring heads (2 lower and 2 upper). Insider M is able to perform all horizontal, vertical, upper/lower boring operations, as well as grooves and operations carried out with electrospindles. 6

Machining quality Insider M Insider M can work all the panel faces to ensure reduced cycle time, optimised machining operations and high productivity. Lower and upper boring heads for through boring, and horizontal spindles. Upper boring unit with vertical/horizontal spindles and electrospindle unit with 8-position tool change. 7

Combined boring The perfect alignment of the 2 upper heads and the 2 lower heads in the Z axis allows a combined boring cycle, guaranteeing excellent through boring quality whilst maintaining the surface of the panel. 8

THROUGH DRILLING High performance levels in both the standalone version (with productivity up to 1500 pieces) and as a version integrated into high volume boring lines (with productivity up to 2000 pieces, including 15% with boring on the upper and lower parts). A perfect combination of Biesse flexibility and Italian genius. 9

Optimum panel hold The panel is moved thanks to the perfect combination of the belt haul-off system and the side pusher. This system allows the lower units to be housed beneath the work table. The combined in-feed system (using the upper presser) guarantees an optimum hold on the panel, even during lower boring. In addition, it enables automatic detection of the piece dimensions (with the aid of the infeed photocell and the pusher). 10

Complete integration in the factory Insider M Insider M is the ideal solution for flexible boring in batch-1 processes. Batch-one system with multi-operational magazines (Buffer and Sorter), fully integrated. 11

Flexibility for small batches The batch-1 process allows the user to process small groups of different panels in sequence according to the specific production requirements, with zero set-up time and maximum production optimisation (for up to 1200 pieces per shift). 12

Despite the fact that there is a relationship between emission and exposure levels, this may not be used in a reliable manner to establish whether further measures need to be taken. The factors determining the exposure level for the workforce include length of exposure, work environment characteristics, other sources of dust and noise, etc. i.e. the number of other adjoining machines and processes. At any rate, the above information will enable the operator to better evaluate dangers and risks. 17
