Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service Boot Camp Release 1.0

Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service Boot Camp is a 3-day hands-on workshop that focuses on key features of Oracle BI Cloud Service and describes in detail typical workflows of creating analyses and data visualizations, data modeling and loading data to the cloud. What will we cover: Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service Boot Camp is a 3-days hands on workshop divided into 6 modules. In the first module particants learn about new architectures of Business Intelligence and Data Visualization solutions, what are the key features of the two products and what are the key differentiators between them. Workshop starts with reports and dasbhoards development module. In this module, participants will notice a lot of similarities with the on-premise version of Oracle Business Intelligence. Even though this module is designed to lead users from scratch to build comprehensive analyses and reports. Business Intelligence Cloud Service is focusing on making data modeling as simple as possible. With a new modeling tool, data modeling is becoming a domain of business users as it is easy to understand and work with. Participants will create a data model of their own, starting with a blank sheet of paper. With cloud services, data loading to the cloud becomes #1 challenge. Oracle provides various tools with which administrator can load data to cloud. Depending on the situation they might decide to use tools like Data Sync or SQL Developer, or might decide to use programmatic methods for larger data sets. Another important aspect of Business Intelligence Cloud Service is managing it. In general Oracle manages infrastructure in the cloud, but still there are several tasks for administrators that they can and should take care of. And finally, there is data visualization, the key topic of business analytics these days. Participants will learn about exploring data, creating visualization projects, combining and blending data, building stories and sharing them with other users. Learn To: Position and demonstrate Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service. Create and deploy analyses and dashboards with Answers and Interactive Dashboards. Create and deploy data models using Data Modeler. Load data for Business Intelligence Cloud Service. Manage Business Intelligence Cloud Service. Explore data and build stories with Data Visualization tools. Duration: 3-day (in-class) hands-on workshop. It is possible to run 1-day workshop only on Data Visualization tools. Note: The duration is intended for general reference. The boot camp instructor may recommend a different approach in rolling the class. Students are required to check the boot camp duration for the scheduled event they are interested in.
