Acknowledgments Metric Equivalents This inventory vas completed with ins cooperation F, -,C,, assistance 'r -- The Washington Department of Natural Resources funded an inventory intensification that doubled the number of field observations. They also provided ownership maps, a^ aerial photography, and training for disease and insect identification. County assessors provided ownership information. Ecologists of the National Forest System trained crews in plant identification and ecosystem classification. Timber companies and many individuals allowed access to their forest lands. The Gifford Pinchot, Mount Baker-Snoqualmie, and Olympic National Forests provided forest resource inventory for their Forests. Data were collected under the supervision of Dale Baer with the help of Todn Anderson, Debbie Beardsley, Bruce Benner, Chris Berger, Janet Blankenship,, Steve Bolon, Sarah Butler, Darin Carlson, Ken Coffey, Perry Colclasure, Vince Condon, Brian Daum, Pete DelZotto, John Donathan, Paul Dunham, Cornell F==:: = 1, Tim Ferrell, Mariah Fink, Steve Foye, Pat Gaidonik, Glenda Goodwyne, Erica Hanson, Jim Harrow, Joanne Hildreth, Delvin Hill, Bob Hinds, Bruce Hiserote, Mark Hollaender, Sheila Jenkins, Paul Johannis, Eric Johnson, John Jurotich, Dan Kenitz, Joe Kessler, John Kloster, J.D. The Forest Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture is dedicated to the principle of multiple use management of the Nation's forest resources for sustained yields of wood, water, forage, wildlife, and recreation. Through forestry research, cooperation with the States and private forest owners, and management of the National Forests and National Grasslands, it strives-as directed by Congress-to provide increasingly greater service to a growing Nation. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applicants for all Department programs will be given equal consideration without regard to age, race, color, sex, religion, or national origin. Pacific Northwest Research Station 333 S.W.
