PRODUCT DATA SHEET Epoxy resin-based coating material for wear resistant coatings PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SikaCor-277 is a thixotropic epoxy resin based 2-pack coating material for steel and concrete. SikaCor-277 has been tested in combination with glass fabric for its crack sealing properties. Low solvent content referring to the directive VdL-RL 04 of the Verband der Lackindustrie für Korrosionsschutz- und Beschichtungsstoffe (Paint Industry Association for and Coating Materials). USES PROPERTIES TESTS SikaCor-277: Primer and thick layer coating For concrete, cement mortar and steel. As a protective coating against chemically aggressive media e.g. In sewage systems for coating wall and floor surfaces and mechanically stressed surfaces e.g. bridge troughs. If need in combination with a fabric layer moderate crackbridging properties can be achieved. - Very good corrosion resistance - Very good adhesion to concrete, cement mortar, PCC, SPCC and fibre cement and steel - Mechanically resistant, tough, friction, impact and shock resistant - Excellent chemical resistance - Crack bridging properties in commendation with glass fabric APPROVAL / STANDARDS Tested for crack bridging properties in accordance with Zulassungsgrundsätze für Beschichtungssysteme für Auffangwannen, Auffangräume und Flächen aus Beton in Anlagen zum Abfüllen und Umschlagen wassergefährdender Flüssigkeiten (principles for approving coating systems for collecting containers, collection areas and surfaces made of concrete in systems for emptying and transferring water contaminating fluids), issued October 2003 at the Polymer Institut Dr. Stenner GmbH, test report numbers 4039 and 4039-1. 1/5

Add components A+B carefully in the prescribed mixing ratio before processing. To prevent splashing or spilling of the liquid, combine the components with a variable-speed electric mixer (stepless regulation) at a low speed for a short period. Then increase the mixing speed to maximum 300 rpm for intensive mixing. The mixing duration is at least 3 minutes and is complete when the two components have combined to form an homogenous mixture. Decant the mixture into a clean container and mix again once more as described above. Wear suitable safety gloves, a rubber apron, a long-sleeved top, work trousers and tightlyfitting safety goggles/face guard when mixing and decanting the products. Brush or roller Airless spraying: High performance airless device Spraying pressure at the nozzle at least 180 bar. Nozzles from 0.38-0.66 mm, spray angle 40-80. Minimum material temperature 30 C when processing with continuous water heater. Min. + 5 C (material and surface) Relative humidity: Max. 85 %, except the surface temperature is significantly higher than the dew point temperature, it shall be at least 3 K above dew point. If necessary max. 5% Sika Thinner K may be added to adapt the viscosity. 3/5

The harmonized European Standard EN 13813 Screed material and floor screeds Screed materials properties and requirements specifies requirements for screed materials for use in floor construction internally. Structural screeds or coatings, i.e. those that contribute to the load bearing capacity of the structure, are excluded from this standard. Resin floor systems as well as cementitious screeds meet the specification. They have to be CE-labelled as per Annex ZA. 3, Tables ZA 1.1 or 1.5 and ZA 3.3 and fulfil the requirements of the given mandate of the Construction Products Directive (89/106): The harmonized European Standard EN 1504-2 Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures Definitions, requirements, quality, control and evaluation of conformity Part 2: Surface protection systems for concrete gives specifications for products and systems based on methods hydro-phobic impregnation, impregnation and coating for the various principles presented under 1504-9. Products which meet the specification have to be CE-labelled as per Annex ZA. 1, Tables ZA 1a to ZA 1g according to the scope and relevant causes there indicated, and fulfil the requirements of the given mandate of the Construction Products Directive (89/106): For flooring systems not dedicated to protect or reinstate the integrity of a concrete structure, EN 13813 applies. Products acc. EN 1504-2 used as flooring systems with mechanical loads also must fulfil EN 13813. Here below indicated are the minimum performance requirements set by the standard. For the specific performance results of the product to the particular tests, please see the actual values above in the PDS. All technical data stated in this are based on laboratory tests.
