Whether you choose our award-winning School Leaver programme for those ready for the world of work now, or one of our University programmes for those keen to experience university life whilst gaining business exposure, either way you ll give your career in business a great start. Whichever programme is right for you, you ll gain invaluable work experience in a number of industries with businesses that are household names. Sahem EY Degree EY Service Line Assurance Current location Lancaster University, Finalist School qualifications Chemistry, Maths and Physics Tweet me @SahemG_EY #EYDegree EY Degree (4 years) Choose the EY Degree if you plan to study a four-year accounting and finance degree with a year in industry, and are focused on a career in accountancy. This four-year programme on offer at selected EY Partner Universities offers a 5k bursary for each year of study (three payments overall) plus two paid work placements working in Assurance in an EY office. These placements will immerse you in fast-paced client projects and enable you to sit some of your professional exams. Do well, and at the end of the programme we could offer you a full-time job. Accept, and you ll join us on the second year of our graduate programme in recognition of everything you ve achieved throughout the EY Degree. Entry requirements Grade B or higher in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent. Predicted AAB/A*AA in your A Levels depending on your university, or equivalent (not including General Studies or A2 re-sits). What you can look forward to Combining study and work experience. EY Insight These open evenings for students in Year 11 13 (4th 6th year in Scotland) run in EY offices all over the UK. You ll get an idea of what your strengths are and how to use them, meet our people, learn how to make a successful application, and get a taste of what life in a leading global business is like. EY Skills Academy Held in our London office, this is a short residential course for Year 12 students. Through a broad range of interactive exercises, you ll learn more about yourself, how you work with others and what an organisation like ours needs from you. You ll build your business skills by solving real client problems. And you ll meet business trainees as well as some of our most senior people. Smart Futures Smart Futures is a 10 month programme for bright Year 12 students in England and 5th year students in Scotland, which provides young people with an opportunity to unlock their career potential. Currently available in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, London and Manchester, the programme starts with three weeks paid work experience at EY. Every person on the programme is allocated an EY Foundation mentor, who is a volunteer. To be eligible for the programme applicants must be in receipt of free school meals and also have 300 predicted UCAS points. Apply Already decided you d like to apply to one of our programmes? Then here s how the process generally works. It can vary slightly from programme to programme, so check our website for specific details. You ll also find lots of hints and tips on how to successfully navigate the application process there too. 1 2 3 4 5 Apply online Submit an online application that tells us what you ve achieved in school or college, and outside it. Include any positions of responsibility and extra-curricular achievements as well as your predicted grades at A Level or equivalent. Show us your strengths We ll send you an online strengths assessment to complete. This will show us what you re naturally good at. There s an example on our website for you to try before you apply. Complete our psychometric tests These are designed to test your numerical, verbal and logical reasoning ability. Make sure you practice these online first. Have an interview This is your chance to show us you really understand what you re applying for and why you want to do it and that you re enthusiastic about the path you ve chosen. The interview will also give you the chance to show us examples of what you re good at. Attend our assessment centre You ll complete a case study and a group exercise, and be interviewed by a partner in the firm. Do well and we ll make you an offer soon after. Good luck!
