A range of luoroplastics that stand up to the toughest challenges. Dyneon is committed to supplying the broadest line of fluoroplastic products to its customers, and to remaining in the forefront of developing new solutions for challenging applications. rom the low temperature processability of our TV P products to the high temperature resistance of our PA and EP products, luoroplastics are the innovative materials needed for applications in industries including food packaging, chemical processing and semiconductor manufacturing. And along with innovative products, we have the innovative technical and support teams who work directly with you to ensure your utmost satisfaction. 2

TV luoroplastic TV P (a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride) provides a combination of performance advantages, such as low processing temperature, ability to bond to elastomers and hydrocarbon-based plastics, flexibility and optical clarity. These combined advantages create new opportunities to make multi-layer hoses, tubes, sheets and films that can be used in a variety of markets and applications such as automotive, chemical processing, semiconductor, solar energy, optical fiber and architectural and protective coatings. TV P is characterized by the following features: Exceptional optical clarity and light transmission Bondability to many elastomers and plastics Outstanding flexibility relative to other fluoroplastics Excellent permeation resistance ood chemical resistance Low temperature processability E-beam curable with or without pro-rads TE TV P TE luoroplastic TE (a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene, and ethylene) is a product unique to Dyneon, having an exceptional balance of tensile strength, good electrical properties, and excellent chemical resistance. Because of its relatively low melting temperature, TE provides ease of processing and ability to process on equipment without the high level of corrosion resistance protection required by many other fluoroplastics. Various grades of TE can be used as wire and cable insulating materials, or can be extruded into films for chemically resistant linings or release layers. Dyneon TE is characterized by the following features: Relatively broad processing temperature range, lower energy requirements Very good chemical resistance to solvents and chemicals ood permeation resistance to chemical vapors and fuels igh light transmission in the visible and UV ranges igh limiting oxygen index compared to ETE Excellent dimensional stability and toughness ood electrical properties 3

PA luoroplastic PA (a polymer of tetrafluroethylene and perfluorovinylether) has exceptional heat resistance, excellent electrical properties and excellent chemical and weather resistance. It is used in molded valves, pumps, tanks, filters and pipes, in heat trace cables and in wire for appliances, computers and in the aerospace industry. It is also used in several chemical industry and home appliance coatings applications. Our UP (ultra high purity) grades are designed with very low metals and ion extractables for critical semiconductor and pharmaceutical processing applications, in components such as wafer carriers, pipes and tubes, fittings, valves and pumps. Our recently introduced PA-LEX grades have exceptional stress crack resistance and flex life, as well as very smooth surfaces. Dyneon PA is characterized by the following features: Service temperatures up to 260 (500 ) Excellent universal resistance to solvents and chemicals Excellent weatherability igh light transmission igh limiting oxygen index: Does not support combustion O PVD luoroplastic ETE luoroplastic ETE (a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene) has excellent chemical, thermal and electrical properties, and outstanding resistance to abrasion and cut-through. It is critical in a myriad of industries such as aerospace, automotive and chemical processing. PA Wide service temperature range Low flammability Excellent electrical and mechanical properties Very good resistance to solvents and chemicals EP luoroplastic ETE EP (a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene) offers excellent chemical inertness, heat and weather resistance, exceptional electrical properties, toughness and durability. It is an essential component in films, linings, tapes, wires and cables in a variety of industries including telecommunications, wire and cable, semiconductor, paper, chemical, textile, food processing and packaging. Dyneon EP is characterized by the following features: Service temperatures up to 200 (392 ) Excellent resistance to solvents and chemicals Outstanding electrical properties igh limiting oxygen index: Does not support combustion Extremely smooth surface Extremely high resistance to outdoor weathering igh light transmission in the visible and UV ranges Applications include wiring for nuclear plant control rooms, extruded and molded valves, tubes and pipes, low permeation tubing, radiation resistant film and architectural films. Dyneon ETE is characterized by the following features: Excellent electrical properties Application and Product Development Non-stick characteristics PVD (a polymer of vinylidene fluoride) is ideal for multiple applications across a wide array of industries. Widely used in the chemical processing industry, the semiconductor industry, and the wire and cable industry, PVD is also gaining applications in industries as diverse as: oil and gas, automotive, building, electronics, chimney-linings, batteries, food processing and pharmaceutical processing. Dyneon offers a range of homopolymers and copolymers with a wide variety of flexibility and strength. Dyneon PVD is characterized by the following features: Excellent mechanical strength ood chemical resistance ontinuous service temperatures up to 150 (302 ) Excellent abrasion resistance Smooth, anti-fouling surfaces Excellent aging resistance Resistance to UV and nuclear radiation Excellent flame resistance ood permeation resistance EP Extremely smooth surfaces Excellent tear resistance Non-stick characteristics Low permeability ood low-friction properties ood resistance to radiation 4 PVD 5 When you re investigating new materials and new or improved manufacturing processes, you want smooth transitions and optimal use of your people and materials. And that s where Dyneon s APD specialists can help. Our fluoroplastic research specialists are available to help you select and handle our materials (including new grades) and ensure a smooth transition into your manufacturing process. Our worldwide research facilities have most types of fluoroplastic processing equipment. So whether it s start-up manufacturing or trouble shooting on an existing line, we can help. In addition, we can assist by producing prototype parts for testing and end-use evaluation. Dyneon also has field personnel ready to bring you invaluable technical assistance in over 50 countries.
