This sale is the result of the close collaboration which has existed for some time now with our representatives in Australia who, with their efforts to promote our equipment in the country, combined with our ceaseless commercial and technical support, are identifying and developing significant automatic bagging line projects. 01 02
N EWS Currently, more than 3000 users, spread across more than 40 countries, have placed their trust in Payper s bagging equipment. The number of our products in use grows almost daily: however, this does not mean that our ability to provide our customers with the best response should be allowed to suffer. We are keenly aware of the importance of all packaging or filling equipment in any of today s industrial process, since it is this that presents a product to the market. It is therefore vitally important to offer the greatest possible RELIABILITY. When you purchase a bagging line, you hope that it will work without incident, provide the desired productivity and offer a quality finished product. The number of hours in operation, the nature of the products to be handled or of the package, as well as other variables can, in the long term, become significant factors, because MACHINES ARE NOT INFALLIBLE. Any incident causing machine downtime implies great costs and production gaps that companies looking to be competitive simply cannot afford. It is when such incidents occur that the importance of the SPEED and EFFICIENCY of an after-sales service comes into play, to minimise the aforementioned downtime. Our Technical Assistance Department is made up of a team of professionals who specialise in carrying out equipment start ups and any other form of technical assistance speedily and efficiently. Our Technical Assistance Service carries out programmed servicing (preventative maintenance programmes) and calibration servicing. To complement the information already provided by the machines via their screens, we also offer advice by telephone if required. If the incident affects the electronic weight controllers, which form part of all bagging installations, they are repaired at Payper s facilities and returned to the customer on the very same day of receipt. Our program logic controller (PLC) section has a number of remote modem help stations to help solve any of your problems onsite via direct connection to the PLC or the weight controller. Customer satisfaction with a Technical Assistance Service will depend, basically, upon: -Response time -The effectiveness of service provided -The personal treatment received -The cost of the service -The history of the service provided TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICE 01 02 The importance of a good after-sales service

I NSTALLATIONS We have just signed an important new contract for close to two million euros, to include the supply, installation and start-up of four FFS automatic bagging, palletising and wrapping lines, for the Petroquímica Morelos SA de CV plant (part of the PEMEX Group), located in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz. One of the many reasons that Payper was awarded the contract was the customer s (in this case the PEMEX Group) experience and satisfaction with the previous delivery of three FFS lines for the Petroquímica Cangrejera SA de CV plant. The bagging lines include different models of our FFS ASSAC bagging machine in accordance with the required production levels ancillary equipment such as metal detectors, checkweighers, bag markers, etc., as well as end-of-line equipment such as high-level infeed palletisers and automatic wrapping machines. The wining of this contract means that more than 30 of our automatic bagging lines are now installed in Mexico, many of which are of FFS type. PETROQUÍMICA MORELOS [PEMEX] 03 04
ESPORC We have just completed delivery of a completely automatic bagging, palletising and shrink-bundling line for open-mouthed bags for the company Esporc in Riudarenes, Girona. This factory forms part of the production process of Piensos Baucells, Cárnicas Batallé and Casa Tarradellas. The Esporc plant thus becomes Europe s largest factory specialising in the production of special feed for young pigs. Amongst other items, Payper has supplied: -A highly-versatile weighing and bagging tower which can handle different bag formats, wasting as little time as possible in making adjustments. Conveyor belt feed systems and CSA-70 bag placer. -Automatic bag removal and sewn closure. -Automatic top-loading palletiser. Includes different palletising programs which allow the machine to be adjusted using its touch screen in a matter of seconds. -Automatic high-production-rate rotating ring wrapping machine. Designed to work with static loads with a pre-stretching system (up to 280%) providing a resulting saving in film. 05 We have recently supplied an automatic cocoa powder bagging and palletising line for 25-kg. valve bags for the firm Moner & Llacuna, part of the Nederland and Chocovic group. The main technical feature of this line is the incorporation of an ultrasound valve bag closure system, which offers the following advantages: -No loss of product from the bag s mouth: cleanliness and optimal presentation. -Completely hermetically-sealed bag, making it impossible to contaminate the product. The bagging and robot-type palletising line, with a forecast production rate of six tonnes per hour, are rounded off with a weight checking system and a conveyor belt metal detector. We were present at EMBALLAGE 2004 trade fair held in Paris. We have been regular participants in this event for more than 15 years now, as the French market is of key significance to us: it is our most important export market in terms of sales volume. We have a history of more than 100 automatic installations in the country, mainly in the agro-food industry, although we have carried out numerous and important projects in the chemical and construction industries. Our participation, carried out jointly with our representatives in the country, Newtec Bag Palletising, manufacturers of palletising systems, was a great success, giving us the opportunity to put the finishing touches to some sizeable projects and allowing us to open up good number of new avenues. On the fourth consecutive occasion, we participated at the INTERPACK show held recently in Düsseldorf (Germany). This time, we exhibited a valve bagging line with an STV ultrasound sealing system, as well as an FFS ASSAC-900 automatic bagging station with ATEX (anti-explosion) operation. These two requirements are in increasing demand in the industrial bagging sector. Over the seven days of the event, a large number of contacts with visitors from across the world were made, leading to a significant number of bagging line projects to be carried out in the short term. Additionally, interviews were held with companies that have expressed an interest and willingness to collaborate with Payper at a commercial and technical level. E XHIBITIONS Payper participated in the international industrial processing show Solids Processing & Handling, held recently in Antwerp (Belgium). The event features exhibits of all manner of equipment for solids handling, transportation, etc., in which bagging also plays a highly important role. We decided to attend the show because Antwerp is an important logistics area, close to some of northern Europe s busiest ports, such as Antwerp itself and Rotterdam, where the majority of the continent s petrochemical companies have facilities. Payper attended the event together with our local representatives ISV Holland Services, with very satisfactory results, especially in terms of visitor quality. We recently took part in the most recent ExpoPack trade fair held in Mexico D.F. Payper is already a well-known name and a consolidated presence in the Mexican market, where we have made numerous installations in the three industries in which we are active: chemical/petrochemical, agrofood and construction. Worthy of especially note is our leadership in the supply of FFS equipment, especially for the petrochemical industry. Our participation was a great success, leading to a good number of new projects. 07 We recently supplied a FFS (form-fill-seal) bagging line for the company General Química S.A., part of the REPSOL-YPF group, whose facilities are located in the Spanish town of Comunión-Lantarón, Álava. This customer already had two ASSAC units used for the bagging of sulphenamides (rubber accelerators), a product which, although in granulated form, must be handled carefully because it is very fragile and can easily degrade. The difference with this third unit, when compared with the previous two, is that it is manufactured in accordance with the current ATEX standard, which governs the use of solids handling machinery (in this case a bagging machine) in dusty atmospheres with the risk of explosion. The equipment supplied meets the ATEX Ex II 22 D T3 standard. Today, Payper is in a position where it can provide the majority of the equipment in its product range designed and manufactured in accordance with ATEX standards. L AST-MINUTE NEWS PAYPER S.A. Pol.
