MIGA : long baseline atom interferometry UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE FOR GEOPHYSICS AND GRAVITATIONAL WAVE DETECTION 15 institutes - 3 compagnies www.matterwave-antenna.org Geophysics resolutions better than 10-11 g, drifts below 10-10 g/yr. Fundamental physics strain measurements with sensitivity of 10-15 at low frequency.
ICE : navigation and EP tests with atom interferometry Application of atom accelerometers to navigation A precise and accurate instrument (sensitivity and no uncertainty). Today, current technology is not accurate (uncertainty in position of a few 100 meters in a few hours). First airborne tests (NOVESPACE O-g airbus) of an atom interferometer allowed to monitor the acceleration of the aircraft with an improvement of over a factor of 100 on accuracy.
