Ozone NAAQS Revisions On September 16, 2009 the EPA announced that it will reconsider the 2008 revisions to the ozone NAAQS. EPA feels that the standard set in 2008 was not as protective as what was recommended by the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC). CASAC recommended a primary standard for eight-hour hour average ozone from 0.060060 ppm to 0.070 ppm (current standard is 0.075 ppm)
