Rapid/Quick Opening Closures & Pig Signallers Rapid/Quick Opening Closures Our Rapid Opening Closure provides fast access to pipelines and pressure vessels such as pig launcher/receivers and filter vessels. Designed and manufactured by industry leaders in the production of pigging and isolation equipment to the world s pipeline industry, the ROC (Rapid Opening Closure) satisfies customer needs such as: Safety Built to meet all international codes and key operator specifications with robust components that help prevent damage caused by misuse. Up to three levels of safety interlock to avoid opening under pressure including a vent/bleed plug with pressure warning indicator. Locking Mechanism Closure door is retained by a series of heavy-duty section segment blocks that engage into a groove within the closure hub. Speed and Simplicity of Opening Two simple movements, removal of a vent plug and the 22.5 turn of a handle, are all that is required to rapidly release. Easy to Maintain Designed to be maintained easily using simple lip seal arrangement. Low Cost and Quick Delivery Due to our tightly integrated design and manufacturing capabilities, we are able to produce closures at a highly competitive price with exceptionally fast delivery times. Size Range Offered in sizes 6" thru 48" standard, and up to 60" as specified in build-to-contract requirements. Omni-Directional Pig Signal Lightweight, compact, and engineered for durability with rugged 316 Stainless Steel components, our Omni-Directional Pig Signal is equally at home in demanding offshore applications, as well as onshore environments. It s designed to be mounted in any position around the circumference of the pipeline and can be installed using a Hot Tap Tool. The omni-directional trigger operates visual and/or electrical indicators as the pig passes through the pipe. Low Maintenance Not susceptible to external corrosion Adjustable trigger length depending on pipe thickness and pig type Sagebrush Pigging Products & Services 3
Pipeline Closures & Launching Systems Yale Closures Yale closures feature a quick opening threaded design that provides fast, easy and economical accessibility to pipelines and other vessel applications. Yale Figure 500 Known as The Original Threaded Closure. With over 60 years of reliable field service, Yale was the first to develop the inherently safe and easy to operate threaded closure. The Yale Figure 500 is manufactured in 2" thru 14" sizes. Yale Figure 500R Designed for larger diameter closure applications, the Yale Figure 500R is machined with a beveled seat to reduce the risk for thread & seal damage, plus a minimum 3" thread length is used for greater safety and insures mechanical sealing integrity. These closures are manufactured in sizes 16" and larger with left or right swinging hinge. Yale Figure 515 A flanged closure offering a bolted flange-to-flange configuration. Rugged ACME threads fasten the cap to the hub making the Yale Figure 515 the safest in the industry. Manufactured in sizes 2" thru 72" and ANSI class 150 thru 2500. AMPL Launching Systems AMPL is a patented Automatic Multiple Pig Launching System that allows a series of pigs to be launched into a pipeline at operator controlled intervals while minimizing the number of times a pig trap door has to be opened to access a pipeline for pigging. AMPL provides significant cost savings for pigging operations. Using the AMPL System improves the efficiency of pigging operations and increases safety for personnel and the environment. The number of AMPL pigs that can be inserted is determined by the length of the barrel on the launcher. Typically the AMPL Automatic Multiple Pig Launching System is ideal for use on: High frequency pigged pipelines Existing pig launchers 4 Sagebrush Pigging Products & Services
Pipeline Inspection & Analysis PECAT Inspection PECAT is a pigging based pipeline inspection tool developed primarily to measure the cleanliness of pipelines, particularly prior to high resolution inline inspection and the decommissioning of pipelines. PECAT uses state-of-the-art unique sensor and data logging technology to measure not only location and quantity of debris in the line, but also record other parameters such as ovality (Caliper), temperature, differential pressure, and changes in pipeline diameter all in the same pigging run. Some of the benefits of PECAT include: Incorporates a caliper system and additional process data logging capability Makes assessment of cleaning programs simpler and more effective Can measure debris of 1mm or less in size ACOUSTEK Analysis Blockages, obstructions or leaks in gas pipelines can result in significant losses of revenue and severe disruption to operations. ACOUSTEK allows immediate assessment and analysis of pipelines to accurately identify and locate any blockages or obstructions, allowing remedies to be put in place quickly. ACOUSTEK uses a patented technique of transmitting acoustic waves down a gas pipeline and analyzes the pattern of the reflected waves to locate full or partial blockages, obstructions or leaks. The ACOUSTEK tool can either be installed for continuous monitoring of a pipeline or set up and used as needed. Sagebrush Pigging Products & Services 5
Custom Pig Solutions & Material Options Custom Engineered Pig Solutions No two pipelines are alike. We know from decades of field experience that situations arise requiring solutions that may be totally unique to only one pipeline and one application. Once on site, our engineers and technicians have the ability to evaluate all options and design a specialized pig to meet the requirements for your application. To make sure the customized pigging tool will perform without issues, we have the ability to insert the tool into a test loop which simulates the actual line that will be used. Only when we re confident that the tool is performing as expected will the tool be shipped. This high level of technical expertise and quality control sets us apart from competitors and can be found in all of our pigging products and services. Metal Bodied Cleaning, Batching, Displacement and Hydrostatic Pigs Metal bodied multi-use pigs are equipped with either scraper discs/cups, cups, brushes, magnets or gauge plates and offered in eight different cleaning configurations. All cups and discs are replaceable and can be interchanged or reconfigured. This pig is rugged and easy to maintain. The conical cup features a large wear surface in a conical shape with a small bolt circle. The disc/cup configuration allows for additional cleaning and discs add extra support to the pig, increasing the cup life. Cups and discs offer excellent sealing properties and flexibility for superior performance. Cleaning elements include brushes to remove hard, crust-like deposits, urethane blades for removing soft gummy deposits, scraper discs to clean both hard and soft internal deposits, and magnet kits to remove ferrous material. Brushes and scraper discs provide a 100% cleaning circumference. Urethane Pigs Our high performance solid cast pigs feature highly durable Omnithane polyurethanes. Solid cast pigs are used mainly in small diameter lines. Molded in one piece, they are designed for flexibility so they can traverse complex pipeline geometry. Solid cast pigs are often used in short to medium distance pipelines and plant piping applications with multiple changes in direction for removing products, keeping lines clear of wax or deposit build-up, and applications where metallic components cannot be used. 6 Sagebrush Pigging Products & Services
