ABOUT RECRUITEX ABOUT RecruiteX is the recruitment index for India. It is an analysis identifying the hiring activity and trends in India Inc. Based on tactful extraction and examination of jobs posted and applied for in a month, it details recruitment as a process backed by hiring sentiments of a recruiter and aspirations of a job seeker. METHODOLOGY RecruiteX represents the demand aspects of recruitment. Demand for talent is computed by factoring activities of recruiters on TimesJobs. com. This demand is integrated with numbers collected by our offline team and then segregated according to top industry verticals, functional areas and locations. The base value for the index has been kept at 100 for the month of December 2010. All RecruiteX values for subsequent months represent the trend of RecruiteX viz-a-viz December 2010. RecruiteX, in its most comprehensible format, is aimed to provide a detailed insight of the recruitment market in India to employers, recruiters and job seekers alike.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Amid a 7% slump in talent demand, accounting, tax and consulting sector reported rise during April 2016. Delhi NCR was the most active hiring location TALENT demand dropped by 7 per cent during April 2016, reveals the latest RecruiteX, the recruitment index by TimesJobs. com. None of the top sectors witnessed any rise in talent demand during April 2016. Accountingtax/consulting and recruitment/ placement agencies were the only sectors to report a rise in talent demand during the month. Architecture/interior designing were the only profiles to report a rise in demand while accounting & finance profiles witnessed stable demand. Delhi NCR was the only metro to report a rise in demand. Indore posted the highest rise in talent demand followed by Lucknow. Among states, Karnataka (except Bengaluru) topped the demand index. Hiring dropped across experience categories, barring candidates with over 20 years of experience.

RECRUITMENT TREND BY INDUSTRY Demand reported a drop across most of the key industry segments.
