1 ABOUT THE COMPANY Willards Travel is a Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) travel solutions service provider and has been in operation since 1971. Its corporate offices are situated in King Williams Town, less than 10 kilometres form Bhisho and a 35 minute drive from East London. Willards' BEE stakeholders are actively involved in the operation of the business. Willards' is fully supportive of and complies with the Department of Trade and Industry s requirements for Black Economic Empowerment. Willards Travel has been registered with IATA since 1975, is a member of ASATA, is a member of the Border-Kei Chamber of Business and is a member of the South African Travel Centre (SATC). All Willards' sales consultants are qualified Galileo agents. As the company is a member of the SATC, Willards has access to excellent cost savings from its suppliers. SATC is represented in more than 160 locations and, with a turnover in excess of R2 billion, the SATC is recognized as one of the largest retail travel consortiums in South Africa. SATC has a network of more than 90 branches in South Africa as well as branches in six other African countries. Willards is proud to be a member of the SATC and is the preferred branch in the Eastern Cape. A strong emphasis has been placed on skills development via a mentorship program that sees senior consultants providing assistance to junior consultants and colleagues. 2 STRATEGIC VISION Willards Travel strives to be the preferred travel solutions service provider to the South African travel market. Willards' primary focus is to simplify and optimize the management of travel solutions for Corporate, Government and Leisure clients with a transparent feedback and continual improvement procedure. The use of technology and business processes in today's evolving travel industry is an essential requirement to an efficient travel solution and Willards intends to be at the forefront of technology tailored for the travel industry by the end of 2009 including Galileo, QuickSoft accounting solutions and Alcatel telephony systems. Our goal: simplified and cost effective client services. Willards Travel is a purely South African brand and is in the process of obtaining the logo of the Proudly South African campaign. This will not only promote the campaign, but be a symbol of Willards' dedication to promoting South Africa as a whole. Willards is also fast tracking its BEE status and is currently in the process of obtaining BEE certification from an accredited verifying agent. Our goal is to become a Level 1 Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) BEE supplier. 4

3 KEY SERVICES Willards' guarantee to clients is the provision of simple and cost effective services. To ensure this guarantee, a constant focus is placed on maintaining and integrating the latest accounting and travel software and technologies. In an ever evolving technological and financial climate, our clients will benefit significantly from our strategic approach. Willards Travel offers an array of services tailored for Government, Corporate and Leisure clients including: International and domestic flight bookings; Car rentals; Point-to-Point transfers; Accommodation (hotels and guest houses); Conferencing; Course registrations; Visa applications and passport courier services; Registered IATA and ASATA offices; Dedicated sales consultant(s) per account; Exclusive specials available via the SATC network; Exclusive specials available via the Galileo network; Emailed itineraries; Online itineraries available 24/7; Local and international travel insurance; Frequent traveler profiling; After hours emergency assistance; and Trilingual consultant service (Xhosa, English or Afrikaans). Additional Services Include:- Emergency deliveries of travel documents; Training of client staff on any customised services; Special meals and preferred seats; Credit facilities subject to standard terms and conditions; Emailed account statements and invoices; Various accounting reports customized to client requirements; and Real-time account details and query services. 5

4 BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT Willards heavily invests in Historically Disadvantaged Individuals (HDI) and exceeds the requirements of the Department of Trade and Industry as a Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) in the BBBEE Codes of Good Practice. Our key stakeholders are provided below in Table 1. Willards also strives to develop its community assisting students with travel grants and in community based projects. Willards is in the process of obtaining BEE certification from an accredited verifying agent. 6

5 KEY MEMBERS Buyelwa Moko Buyelwa Moko is a HDI female and has 9 years experience in travel and has worked throughout South Africa in the travel industry. Buyelwa is the Marketing Director for Willards and leads by example in the development of junior sales consultants. New business and tenders are a key area of focus for Buyelwa at Willards in addition to promoting sales and excellence in service to existing clients. Tanya Bradshaw Tanya Bradshaw is a qualified Accountant. She has experience in the travel industry throughout sales and administrative roles. She has extensive experience that spans over 25 years in the industry. She now heads Willards Travel as the Managing Director and leads her team to deliver simple and cost effective solutions to clients. Philip Pouroullis Philip Pouroullis is a successful business entrepreneur with successes in various industries. His experience and involvement includes:- Shipping logistics; Property development and rentals; and Travel and tourism. Philip has been involved in the Travel and Tourism industry for over 38 years and has been associated with Willards since 1971. He has overseen the successful accreditation for Willards under the IATA and ASATA banners and the successful award of the SATC membership for the entire Eastern Cape. He is the current Chairman of the board of Willards Travel. Petros Pouroullis Petros Pouroullis is a qualified Electrical Engineer through Wits University specialising in Information Engineering. His previous role at Accenture, a global IT business solutions consulting firm, has provided Petros with an extensive background in technology infrastructure, systems integration, business processes and corporate governance. Petros now focuses on improving and optimizing strategic and day to day operations at Willards. 7

6 SOCIAL AND LABOUR DEVELOPMENT AND PARTICIPATION Willards Travel plays an active role in the social development of local community based organizations through donations and financial assistance where most effective. Willards also strives to develop employee skills through various training and skills development programs. These programs include: NPO - JIREH with Registration number 026/071 for the Development of Children, Youth and Women in Ginsberg township King Williams Town were sponsored for air tickets valued at R48,000.00 to send three youths to Los Angeles, USA to attend a Ministry. Willard s offers staff training through SATC to uplift and develop HDI s within the organization. Mentorship programs are offered within Willards to up-skill staff including staff of a HDI background. Various donations to community based projects based on a request basis. 8
