This document highlights the enhancements that are available in the recent release of Infor LN, and offers a glimpse into its future. Recent releases: Infor LN 10.5 Infor LN empowers you to run your entire business across every department, every site, and every country on one platform. Delivering flexibility in operations and strength in financials, Infor LN is a uniquely versatile system that gives complex product manufacturers like you everything you need in the form of a standard, packaged ERP solution. The result is an integrated system that gives you complete visibility and control across your organization, along with the flexibility to make adjustments as your business evolves. Infor values our relationship with our customers. Over the past few years, we ve continued to invest in your product to provide value for your maintenance. Surveys show that our customers appreciate our maintenance work. In every new release of Infor LN, we add many new features that our customers require. We grouped the features below into categories on investments in the core features, industry-specific features, and the user-experience domain. Core features: Data authorization framework allows you to manage role-based data authorizations (for example, not allowing US-based users to see a project in Germany). Intercompany trade is a new module that provides a transparent way of controlling and viewing trade transactions between financial entities in your company. Quality management extends sampling rules and standard test procedure to provide additional support. Invoicing now provides you with many options to configure your invoices with extending or changing core logic. Purchase and sales processes include many new workflows. Mobile field service app can work offline, in areas where there is no connectivity. Widgets library has been extended, giving you a broader choice of widgets to help you control your business. Financials includes features for segment accounting (IAS8), reduced mouse clicks, FX variances in inventory, and credit and rebill. Infor ION API support allows you to access Infor LN data via additional interfaces, such as widgets and apps. Extensibility options extend the logic and data model of Infor LN, without changing the core of the system. Infor LN is completely ready to run in the cloud, which can significantly lower your total cost of ownership (TCO). Industry-specific features: For industrial manufacturing (IM), resource management was added to Job Shop, PCS, Project, and QM. For IM and aerospace and defense (A&D), we ve made investments in global trade compliancy functionality. Infor LN supports the blocking of shipments and receipts based on several characteristics of the originating transaction. For A&D, contract flow down capabilities were extended to allow information to flow from contract deliverables to purchase and quality management. Additionally, minority reporting and estimates based on actuals of previous project were also added to help further support A&D. For automotive, a completely new package, repetitive manufacturing, has been added to the Infor LN suite. This allows for the support of completely orderless flow shops that operate using shifts and production schedules. For automotive, customer-specific labels and documents are now supported. User experience Infor OS Infor OS user experience Starting with Infor LN 10.5, the user experience was completely overhauled to conform to the Infor OS user experience outline. This uses the Infor Ming.le framework to interact with supporting information, such as alerts and workflows. Here is an example. In-context analytics Many types of in-context analytics were added, including quality, procurement, and project control. Integrations The exchange of information with suppliers and supplier collaboration integration has been improved. Sales reps out in the field can benefit from the integration of Infor CRM, Infor Approva, Infor HCM, and Infor Expense Management. Warehouse mobility Barcoding and data collection offer improved warehouse mobility. User experience Infor Ming.le workflow content adds social collaboration capabilities. Cloud enablement HTML5 standards are available in the cloud. These features were the result of direct input from our customers. We continue to listen to you as we plan for upcoming releases. Next-release features: Infor LN 10.6 Infor LN 10.6, the next major release of Infor LN, is incorporating several themes that will drive its new functionality. These themes include, but are not limited to: Easy access to information To make the system even more user friendly, the user experience will be further improved in several areas, such as shipping. This includes an easy-to-understand work screen designed by Hook & Loop, as well as a series of widgets that can run on mobile and desktop devices. Here is an example: Repetitive manufacturing To further support repetitive flow shops, we re adding next-gen orderless production concepts. Extending multisite capabilities Support for multisite handling has been improved, such as support for a multiple standard cost set within one logistical data set. Commercial terms and logistic terms can be defined at office and site level. This gives you the option to have enterprise units and sites modeled within one logistical data set, while still performing management accounting at the detailed unit level. Extending the authorization framework The authorization framework allows how Infor LN will appear to a user, based on the user s role authorizations. Both DEM and AMS can be used in conjunction, so that the business processes modeled can drive the authorization settings of the individual users. Project-centric industries By integrating projects with operational execution, a project-based service provider can have access to all required information from both cost and operational perspectives during all project stages. 4 Infor statement of direction
The benefits of Infor LN Productivity Infor LN continues to focus on placing key decision-making information at your fingertips in a pleasing and easy-to-use format. This is critical when you re communicating with a customer on the status of an order, or a supplier on delivery of material. Here is an example of an Infor LN, Infor OS role-based homepage: Intuitive drill-to icons are part of the application making it even easier for you to drill-to related information. Simply click on the arrow to open related or supporting documents or go to the most granular source of the data that the dashboard is based on. Our implementation accelerators will drive the configuration of the processes as well as the authorization configuration for the various roles with your company. A rich library of widgets is delivered together with LN, which makes it possible to configure your own analytics pages and role-based homepage, as well as use predefined dashboards.
