PROPOSED RULE DEVELOPMENT May 14, 2001 SB 466 signed into law as Chapter law 2001-43. Section 42 repeals all rules relating to Chapter 110 on January 1, 2002 and authorizes the Department of Management Services to readopt rules necessary to implement Chapter 110. 2

One rule with necessary definitions instead of many rules with redundant and inconsistent definitions. State Personnel System means the employment system comprised of positions within the Career Service, Selected Exempt Service, or Senior Management Service, and within all agencies except those in the State University System, the Florida Lottery, the Legislature, the Justice Administration System, or the State Courts System 12
