Community engagement: figures & achievements 1,5bn inhabitants of developing countries do not have access to electricity Rexel and Microsol are partnering on a study related to the feasibility of developing carbon schemes in the Andean zone of Latin America to boost access for disadvantaged people to efficient equipment using renewable energy and to accelerate deployment of eco efficient lighting for disadvantaged people In partnership with the ESTP engineering school research institute, the Rexel Foundation is providing funding for a research project on the concept of "Comfort" in commercial buildings. The aim is to develop new control strategy for the increasing of indoor environmental conditions and the reduction of energy consumptions Rexel sponsors Ashoka organization to give grant and technical support to social entrepreneurs that promote access to energy efficiency 18
