TM Welcome to our 2007 brochure. Cervoglass moves into its 5th year of manufacture of conservatory glass units in a wide range of specifications to meet all budgets. New to our product range for 2007 is the addition of Cervo Solar Clear suited for all conservatory side frame glazing. Cervoglass high performance glass solves the problems traditionally associated with conservatories. Our glass has been specially developed to reflect solar heat in hot weather, yet keep warmth in when the temperature drops. It combines self cleaning properties with solar control performance for a cooler internal environment. This self cleaning glass uses daylight and rainwater to breakdown and wash away dirt and grime making it ideal for hard to reach places that are difficult to clean, like conservatory roofs. With a subtle blue tint Cervo Activ Blue TM also allows sufficient light to pass through whilst reducing the suns glare. A brand new, micro coated glass ideally suited for use in all conservatory side frame glazing units, Cervo Solar Clear combines very good light transmittence properties with solar control performance for a cooler internal environment during the summer months. With a virtually clear finish, Cervo Solar Clear TM allows the maximum amount of light to pass through while still reducing the harmful effects of solar energy on curtains and furnishings. TM Easy Clean coating The easy clean glass surface treatment as applied to Cervoglass TM products is a mixture of Alkyl Polysiloxanes suspended in Alcohol with a Catalyst.When applied to glass surfaces a chemical reaction takes place bonding the Alkyl Polysiloxanes to the surface creating a hydrophobic reaction (forming water droplets), when water hits the treated glass surface. The easy clean coating assists in the cleaning process on glass roofs.the need for manual cleaning is greatly reduced as rain water will react with the coating by forming into water droplets, which then run off the surface carrying away the majority of any deposits or pollutants.* *Life expectancy of the surface treatment varies depending on degree of exposure to pollutants and has been designed for periodic re-application to rejuvenate its effectiveness. Self Cleaning Glass The unique Activ TM coating reacts with UV rays in sunlight to generate a photocatalytic process that loosens and breaks down organic dirt particles on the surface of the glass. The surface of the coating is hydrophilic.therefore instead of forming droplets it attracts water so that it spreads and forms a thin film that sheets away quickly and dries off without leaving unsightly drying spots. U Value A measure of air-to-air heat transmission (loss or gain) due to thermal conductance and the difference in indoor and outdoor temperatures. As the U-Value decreases, so does the amount of heat that is transferred through the glazing material.the lower the U-Value, the more restrictive the fenestration product is to heat transfer (Reciprocal of the R-Value) This is a critical function in that it makes it possible to strike an optimum balance between economy and ecology (cutting energy consumed by the heating system, thereby lessening the environmental impact) and to reduce the amount of energy lost through windows.the lower the U-value, the more efficient the insulation. Solar Factor As their name suggests, solar control glasses help control the amount of solar energy that enters a building. Solar control glasses save money by reducing the amount of energy used by heating and air conditioning systems and boost comfort levels inside the building by controlling indoor temperatures and light levels. Light Transmission The measurement of light passing through glass. Too much light can create an uncomfortable environment with glare being a problem. Not enough light transmittance can result in reduced visibility.
