Page 2 of 6 4. FIRST-AID MEASURES ROUTE COMMON SYMPTOMS FIRST AID Inhalation Inhalation can cause severe irritation of mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract. Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention. Ingestion Causes irritation to the gastrointestinal tract. If swallowed, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Give large quantities of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately. Skin Causes severe irritation. Immediately flush with plenty of water for a t least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothes and shoes. Get medical attention. Wash clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse. Eyes Severe irritation with effects similar to those of dilute caustics. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for a t least 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper eyelids occasionally. Get medical attention immediately. 5.
