Total land is in possession of the management. The present land use is industrial. Hence there will not be any change in local land use plan due to the proposed activity. The land earmarked for the present proposal is more or less flat without many undulations, without any buildings and vegetation. Hence no clearance of buildings and vegetation will be required for proposed project. 1.3 Creation of new land uses? There is no creation of new land use, as the proposed plant will be installed within existing plant premises. The land use is industrial. 1.4 Pre-construction investigations e.g. bore houses, soil testing? separate Pre-construction investigations are required as the proposed project will be carried out within existing plant premises. 1.5 Construction works? construction work related to proposed project activities will be taken-up without obtaining the prior amendment in Environmental clearance from Ministry of Environment and Forest, GoI, New Delhi & amendment in Permission to Establish from Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board. 1.6 Demolition works? Demolition works will be involved in the proposed project. 3

All the materials, Finished Goods, Wastes are stored under covered sheds having RCC flooring guarded by Garland Drains. 1.15 Facilities for treatment or disposal of solid waste or liquid effluents? Waste Water: The waste water from coal washery will be completely recycled either in process or for dust suppression within plant premises. There will not be any waste water discharge outside the premises. In the existing plant zero discharge is being maintained and after proposed change in technology also Zero discharge will be maintained. After conversion of 2.4 MTPA DRY type coal washery to 2.4 MTPA WET type coal washery, an additional water of 500 cum/day will be required. The total water requirement after proposed amendment will be 1085 cum/day only. Water permission has already been obtained from CGWA for drawl of 610 cum/day of ground water. Hence there will not be any waste water generation from process and cooling. Zero effluent discharge will be maintained. All environmental regulations will be followed in the proposed project. Hence no adverse impact on hospitals, children, and elderly persons. 4. Mist spray water sprinkling system is provided. Closed conveyor system is provided to prevent to fugitive dust emissions. Some dust emissions will be generated during construction. Water spraying system and dust curtains will be deployed to prevent the dust emanation due to construction Activities. 9
