EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY 2017 MANAGERS GUIDE PHILADELPHIA

Aramark s fifth annual Global Employee Appreciation Day (EAD) will be held on April 27, 2017. 2017 EAD THEME Behind every experience Aramark creates around the globe is a service star who sells and serves with passion. Who enriches and nourishes lives. Who sets goals and then acts on them. And who does it all with integrity and respect. This year s theme for EAD is: Integrity and Respect Always. The purpose of EAD is to display meaningful appreciation and to give our heartfelt thanks to our 270,000 service stars around the globe for making a difference. So use this day to engage your team and recognize their efforts in a big and meaningful way. As a manager, we expect you to celebrate EAD with your team by doing the the following: Attending a one hour collective celebration hosted by leadership at a designated time and location. - You will receive separate emails with information about the collective celebration. Providing remarks of appreciation from you throughout the day. Taking photos/videos and submitting for the photo/video contest. (Optional) Sharing photos of your celebration on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn, using #AramarkThanks. (Optional) Integrity and respect must happen in our interactions with customers, consumers, communities, and especially among our colleagues and friends. On EAD, we celebrate our people, who strive to do the right thing every day. Your role in Employee Appreciation Day is a critical one and we sincerely thank you for your participation. After reviewing this Guide, if you still have questions, please send an email to employeeappreciation@aramark.com. On April 27, we'll also be celebrating "Take Your Child to Work Day" in Philadelphia! We're planning fun activities, like movies, games, crafts and exciting classes. COUNTDOWN TO YOUR CELEBRATION As soon as possible Inform or remind your team that EAD is taking place on April 27. Day before Remind employees about EAD, including the location and time of your collective celebration. Familiarize yourself with the talking points. (See page 4) Send your employees an ecard from www.appreciatehub.com/aramark. It s a great, zero-cost way to say thanks for all you do. You can schedule your ecard in advance. Get ready to celebrate! On EAD Cheer on your employees at your collective celebration. Thank employees individually for their contributions. Invite employees to share their appreciation for each other. Encourage your team to view the Thank You video featuring Eric Foss on aramark.net or on the monitors throughout the building. Important Notes Light refreshments will be served at each collective celebration. You do not need to order food and beverages. The Thank You letters from Eric Foss will be distributed to each employee the morning of EAD. You do not need to print these. Posters and banners will be displayed in main lobbies, mailrooms and other community areas on EAD. If you would like to display posters in your area, they are available to print from www.aramark.com/employeeappreciation. All Aramark employees are encouraged to attend the EAD celebrations. Due to space limitations, please do not invite contractors or temporary employees. 2

SHARE YOUR CELEBRATION - Win a trophy! We encourage you to take photos or shoot brief videos for sharing during and after EAD. This year, we ll be awarding trophies for the best displays of recognition. We received over 600 submissions last year. So don t let your photos and videos get lost in the shuffle! Send us only your best! And follow the rules below. Be sure to show us your: Enthusiasm Creativity Healthy snack display Group selfies Fabulous cakes and cupcakes Dance moves and/or singing skills Appreciation stations Photo/Video Contest Rules DO SHOW US ONLY YOUR BEST! Submit each photo or video only once. Submit to www.hightail.com/u/employeeappreciation Submit photos in.jpg,.jpeg, or.png format. Submit videos in.avi,.m4v,.mov,.mp4,.mpg,.mpeg, or.wav format. DON T Don t submit more than one photo or video of the same subject. Don t submit multiple copies of the same photo or video. Don t post videos on YouTube. Don t submit PowerPoint presentations or Word documents. Feel free to share your photos/videos on social media with #AramarkThanks. Keep videos to two minutes or less. Edit and trim as necessary!
