Yes, this training is applicable to that. In fact, a lot of people spend big money to take care of their animals. Some of the same resources will work for you because some of the same
manufacturers who make supplements for humans make them for pets as well, and also a lot of the training, such as the marketing techniques and the business structure advice, in the program will work for you as well. This is a very strong market to go in too, by the way, with many very loyal customers. Q) Is the content going to be shipped to us, or is it all in the membership area? All the training is delivered digitally, and it s going to be made available in your member s area. Q) What about saturation? That's a very good question: There are a couple factors that are occurring right now the industry: The Market is going from 32 Billion to 60 Billion -- the market is expanding rapidly. There are many different demographic segments so people are different age, gender, interests. So "boomer" for example female boomers of a certain age. Male boomers that are interested in golf or different sports... that's a different segment. And so the beauty is that not only can you have a differentiated product for that particular markets say "Eye Health" but you can also go after the different demographics and you can have a different message to market match. So when you look at that its sort of like a Rubik's Cube that you can do all these different combinations potentially millions of different combinations and because these markets are so big you can still carve out a very sizable business. Q: What about traffic? How do you send traffic to your offers? Three main ways:
1) Affiliates 2) House list of current customers 3) Media Buys from Google, Facebook, Bing. We'll go over all these in training. Q) How long does the typical customer stay on a supplements? How long do they continue to reorder? James: I have customers who have been on my supplement for over a year now -- they order every single month and they order because it works. If they are getting the results they desire they will continue to order. Buck: it does vary by product and by the the type of a market you're in... For example, a weight loss products would have a lower continuity lifetime than other types of products say for example Omega 3 fish oil which is something that people want to be on all the time or if they're trying to resolve and maintain healthy joints and have a joint pain issue they want to keep and stay healthy. Who else is talking about this? I don't know anybody else who is talking about this stuff... so if you wanna know how to attract customers who are thrilled to buy from you month after months after month... that's the golden goose.. that's the continuity... that's what's available to you because you're gonna be selling consumables... high-quality consumables to your very happy customers and Buck is gonna show you exactly how to do it. Q) How do you differentiate your product from the the hundreds of products that are already out there? There are 3 really easy ways: 1) Packaging -- make your package different from the competitors. If everyone else is using a bottle then put your bottle in a box. Or use a blister pack with 30 tablets that the customer can easily pop out and use daily.
2) Target Market -- You can niche down the market and target specific people... for example say the Sleep Aid market -- you could target this to real estate professionals so the name, package, marketing, and everything is tailored to this specific market. 3) Formulations -- there are several ways to put the product together that really makes it stand out and not just a "me too" product that can really allow you to make very interesting claims and also tell a great story that is fully backed by science. Q: I'm in the UK is it a big deal opening up to a US corporation? The biggest challenges that non US citizens have run into is just getting their entity and bank account and their processing set up and what I've done is i've partnered with the best outfits that are very flexible on working with Non-US citizens. In fact I have one company that is my Rolodex that will handle everything for you and you don't have to a set foot on US soil to get set up. Okay and once you've gone through those steps you're pretty much on equal footing with a US citizen because you know the contract manufacturers will work with you, your fulfillment centers will work with you, it really doesn't matter where you're based at that point. Q) What sort of personal liability or professional liability do you need? First off the safety track record of the dietary supplement industry as a whole has been incredibly good. I would put this on par with selling food... The ingredients that we use in our supplements are what is called "Generally Recognized As Safe" or GRAS is the acronym used in the industry... and you're basically dealing with food -- its a dietary food supplement and these ingredients are natural ingredients and if you're working
with the sources in my Rolodex: the manufacturers and the a distributors of these ingredients... then you're dealing with very high quality ingredients that have been vetted that have the human clinical studies to back them up and as part of those studies they also have their own toxicity tests that they've done... they do their own third-party lab testing to make sure that they are at the right dosage and that they are free of any contaminants and things like that... So when you add all those things up -- its a very very safe industry so as a result if you're getting product liability insurance the product liability insurance costs have come way way down since I first got into the business because of the track record of the industry. There is a little "not very well known" technique that you can use where you can have the contract manufacturer add your business as an additionally named insured -- I'm not saying don't get any insurance yourself but that's another technique to help give you that extra layer of protection. Q) How is the content delivered? And how fast? The Rolodex and some other resources are delivered immediately and then the the actual training and Q&A calls are will be delivered over the six-week period. And you get instant access to the community so you can start collaborating with fellow students. Its gonna be a lot of fun! Q: Do you have to have FDA approval? First off, don't be afraid of the 3 letter agencies. Actually I think that they are necessary and I'm not one of those guys you see out there bashing the government... the government has a purpose and those agencies are there to protect consumers and that's a good thing. You are not required to get any kind approval from the FDA to launch a product. We are guaranteed access to dietary supplements through by congress here in the United States by a
law that was passed called the Shea Act that was passed in 1994 that guarantees that we have access to dietary supplements as consumers. So for the categories that I just listed such as joint health, cognitive health, digestive health, et cetera we're guaranteed access to those supplements and you can formulate high quality products without having to go and get permission from the FDA. What they require you to do is to make claims that there are substantiated so they're backed by human clinical studies, that you do not make drug claims... in other words that you don't claim that you're curing cancer or you don't claim that you're curing diabetes. So there's a line that's drawn where some people have stepped over that line and then they get in trouble. The FDA will send them an action letter or they'll call in the Federal Trade Commission -- the FTC -- to shut you down because you've making claims via advertising. That can get you in trouble. And companies have done that and it got in trouble. What I teach is how to do it properly, how to formulate properly... the only thing you have to do when you formulate a product is just assemble the claims that you're going to make and you send a simple form letter to the FDA. That's all there is -- you're not waiting for approval. You just submit the letter and your responsibility is done. And that's a beautiful thing and we're going to continue to enjoy that unfettered access to these high quality supplements. Q) How do you establish credibility if you're not a doctor or if you don't have a doctor as a partner? I don't have any special credentials for the health industry and I launched my first multi-million dollar business without a doctor...
Is there an advantage being a doctor or working with the doctor? Sure because you can leverage that person's name and likeness on your advertising. Now some of my students find and partner with a doctor by going to various conferences and partner with a doctor and just pay a monthly fee in exchange for using that person who reviews and endorses your product. There are a lot of different ways to go about this business.. you don't need a doctor or practitioner or a credential to get started and to be successful. If you want to go the doctor route, there are tens of thousands of doctors out there who are looking for these kinds of additional income opportunities with high-quality businesses that are willing to put their name and likeness to endorse products. But again, its absolutely not necessary to get started. Q) How much inventory investment do you need? I would start small and -- by the way, one of my suppliers -- and this is a supplier who only works with my students -- it's a company that sells through the Doctor channel but because I have an academy where I teach students to do this the right way they've agreed to make their private label products that they sell to doctors available to my students and they have order minimums as low as 12 units plus they have a dropship program. So effectively you don't even have to keep inventory. And they have over 300 products you can choose from. Q) What is Drop Shipping? In this case it means that not only will they print up your label and put it on their product for you but they will maintain a quantity on hand of your labeled products in their warehouse and then when you send them an order -- you're gonna send it to them electronically -- they're gonna then pick, pack and ship that order for you direct to your customer. So they're providing the order fulfillment for you and the private labeling for you in one shot.
Q) Is this for people living outside of the U.S.? Buck has had students spanning around the world. If you are in Singapore, South Africa, or somewhere in Europe, this is the training that you need. You do need to know the English language because Buck doesn't speak any other languages. You can run this business from anywhere. If, Buck recommends having products manufactured in the U.S. and fulfilled from the U.S. because there are a lot of advantages to doing so. Now, Buck and his partners do have a fulfillment center in Canada because it does give them the ability to send products out to their Canadian customers faster. They didn't do that out the gate though. Q) How do we get support?
