MINING mining We have two quarries in our possession to mine top quality and stylish natural stones from. One of our quarries is used to mine our latest addition to the stone family, the African Cat Eye. It has a unique red material and only available from VT Marble & Granite. The Juperana Sunset is mined from our second quarry and is also exclusively available from us. A big advantage of having our own quarries is that we can guarantee a constant supply of granite blocks and slabs to our clientele all over the world. TRANSPORT Our own logistics makes us independent to move our mined blocks to head office for processing. transport We are able to transport cost effectively our raw materials straight to our processing plants and the finished products to our clients. This is an aspect that make us efficient, allows us to offer a comprehensive service to our clients and to be more competitive in our market. We also deliver the finished slabs to our customers locally in South Africa. MINING 6
PROCESSING processing Once the mined blocks arrive at the factory, we process our dimensional stones into any slab thickness and various finishes (e.g. polished, flamed, honed, etc.) to the high quality characteristic slabs our products are known for. In our state-of-the-art factory together with an experienced workforce, we have the latest machinery imported from Italy, such as gangsaws, polishing lines, resin lines, flaming lines, and much more. PROCESSING After the manufacturing process, we can pack the final slab product into containers for export all over the world. At the same time we can supply the local industry in South Africa with our unique slabs. processing PROCESSING 8
MARBLE & GRANITE S P E C I A L I S T S c c MGS Marble & Granite Specialists has been in operation for the past 25 years where we deal with all major architects and designers in South Africa. mgs - manufacturing We employ the latest machinery from Italy, e.g. the Bavelloni 5 Axes CNC machine, the Comandulli Omega 100, bridge cutters, etc. These state-of-the-art machinery help us to design, supply and execute all projects of the final products for installation through our experienced teams. We keep a variety of more than 20 colours at our showroom. These colours are mined from our own quarries as well as world wide imported materials that MGS can supply to the domestic market. MGS 9
