The Experts Sabine Beulke is a Risk Assessor at the Environmental Consultancy Enviresearch. She previously worked for Cranfield University and Fera. She has been actively involved in the development of regulatory recommendations, including guidance on aged sorption, on behalf of the UK CRD. Jos Boesten is a Senior Researcher at Wageningen University & Research. He works currently on leaching to groundwater, exposure assessment of soil and aquatic organisms and bees, and on emissions from covered crops. Arnaud Boivin is the Deputy Head of the Ecotoxicology and E-Fate Unit at the Regulated Products Department of ANSES. He joined ANSES in 2007 and he also used to work for INRA and USDA/ARS. Colin Brown is a Professor in Environmental Science at the University of York. He has more than 20 years of experience of research into the fate and effects of organic contaminants in the environment. Mirco Bundschuh is an Environmental Scientist with specialisation in aquatic ecotoxicology and Researcher at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). He recently got interested in the fate of pesticides depending on their environmental setting. Joachim Dayteg joined the Institute for Plant Protection Products of AGES Vienna in 2008 as Environmental Fate and Behaviour Risk Assessor. He is the initiator of the harmonisation efforts in fate and behaviour in the Central zone. Claire Glennie works at the HSE Chemicals Regulation Division where she is responsible for assessing the environmental fate of pesticides. She has 15 years of experience in this area and 10 years of previous experience in project managing new active substance applications. Gerhard Görlitz has been the Leader of the Environmental Modelling Group of Bayer Crop Science Division since 2002. He was a founding member of the Focus Steering Committee. Presently, he chairs the Environmental Exposure Assessment Team of ECPA. Christine Kula is a Scientific Officer at the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) in Braunschweig. She is responsible for risk management of plant protection products. She has been involved in ecotoxicological risk assessment and risk management with special background in soil ecotoxicology. Volker Laabs has been with BASF for 9 years and is currently leading the Global Product Stewardship Team. He has more than 15 years of experience in the area of environmental fate of pesticides. Christopher Leake is an Environmental Safety Manager at Bayer Crop Science Division responsible for the areas of environmental fate, ecotoxicology and risk assessment. He has over 30 years of experience in this area. Neil Mackay is a Senior Research Scientist in the Environment Safety Assessment Group of DuPont Crop Protection and his previous work experience includes employment in contract research and as a consultant to both industry and government bodies, primarily in Europe. Lorraine Maltby is a Professor of Environmental Biology at the University of Sheffield and has over 30 years research experience in aquatic ecology and ecotoxicology. Having served on several UK and European advisory committees/expert groups she is currently a Member of the ECETOC Scientific Committee and the UNEP Scientific Expert Group on Chemicals and the Environment. Stephanie Pullan is Senior Environmental Scientist at Penman Consulting in the UK. Wolfgang Reinert is working for the European Commission in the sector of Directorate Health and Consumers in Brussels and managing new active substances in the Review Process under Directive 91/414/EEC and Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009. He is also involved in the coordination of the follow-up of implementing measures under that Regulation. Carola Schriever is a Geoecologist and has been working as Environmental Fate Modeller at BASF since 2007. She has more than 10 years of expertise in the area of environmental exposure and risk assessment of pesticides. Rômulo Penna Scorza Júnior has worked as a Researcher at Embrapa for 14 years. His emphasis is on pesticide fate and exposure modelling in Brazilian agricultural scenarios. He is member of the working group for pesticide risk assessment in Brazil. Heather Simmons is currently Section Head in the Environmental Assessment Directorate of the Pest Management Regulatory Agency of Health Canada. Michael Stemmer started to work at the Austrian AGES in 2005 as an Environmental Risk Evaluator for the use of pesticides. He is member of the EFSA PPR Panel. Harry Vereecken is a Professor and the Director of the Institute Agrosphere within the Department of Biogeosciences at the Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany.
