New Features in Primavera Gateway 14.2 Create and Update Field Mapping Templates Primavera Gateway 14.2 offers the ability to manage metadata and custom field mappings from within the application. Field mapping templates can be created using Groovy code or direct field definitions. Map existing fields between the providers or add new fields on the fly. Previously created mapping templates can also be updated from within the application. To access this feature: Navigate to Configuration tab and select the Customization tab. 2
Import and Export Field Mapping Templates New Features in Primavera Gateway 14.2 Field mapping templates can now be imported to the Primavera Gateway database or exported to a repository. This functionality is useful if you want to keep existing mapping templates when upgrading the Gateway database. To access this feature: Navigate to Configuration tab and select the Customization tab. 3
New Features in Primavera Gateway 14.2 New Flow Type - Master Data Primavera Gateway 14.2 includes a new flow type, Master Data, which enables you to synchronize P6 global data between P6 deployments -- for example, synchronizing global data between a test and production environment. The following global business objects are available for synchronization: Baseline Type Calendar* Cost Account Currency EPS Expense Category Financial Periods Locations* Notebook Topics* Project Code Type & Values* Resources* Roles* UDF* WBS Category Most of the fields synchronize all or none of the data between deployments. The fields marked with an asterisk (*) can be filtered to synchronize a selection of data. To access this feature: Navigate to Flow Type tab and select Master Data. 4
Review Synchronizations New Features in Primavera Gateway 14.2 Primavera Gateway 14.2 offers the ability to review synchronization data before changes are committed to the destination application. The review allows you to see all business objects scheduled for creation, updating or deletion. Within a business object, view the comparison and record delta for each field being changed. After the review is complete, choose to cancel the synchronization or commit the changes scheduled. To access this feature: Navigate to Synchronizations tab, select a synchronization and select Run with Review. The Review link is available on the Monitoring tab. 5
New Features in Primavera Gateway 14.2 Enhanced Providers Primavera Gateway 14.2 has added or enhanced the following providers: Primavera P6 and Primavera Prime: Supports capital plan, scope, and risk management. Primavera P6 and Primavera Unifier: Supports cash flow and earned value. Primavera P6 and Primavera E-Business Suite (EBS): Enables sharing master data and project data related to activities, assignments, and resources. Primavera P6 and Oracle Value Chain Planning (VCP): Enables sharing Demand and Supply Project data related to items, assignments and tasks Primavera P6, Primavera Prime and Primavera Unifier providers are available for install using the Primavera Gateway installer. The E-Business Suite and Oracle Value Chain Planning providers must be downloaded from Oracle Cloud. Install the files using the Third-Party option in the Primavera Gateway installer. 6
Technical Enhancements New Features in Primavera Gateway 14.2 Single Sign-On: Primavera Gateway 14.2 can now be configured with single sign-on. External Gateway API: The Primavera Gateway API provides a flexible interface to Primavera Gateway functionality. Based on the Representational State Transfer (REST) architectural style, the API enables developers to leverage standard interfaces to create integrated software solutions that interoperate with a wide variety of enterprise software applications running on a variety of hardware and operating system platforms.
