Difficult to handle bulk materials SHW Schwäbische Hüttenwerke is a traditional company that has been trading for 640 years and since the 1960s has been constantly developing and manufacturing components and installations for the storage and transport of difficult to handle bulk materials. Technical innovations from our company SHW Storage & Handling Solutions, over the past few decades, have changed decisively the way that difficult to handle bulk materials are stored and distributed. Numerous patents and systems testify to this which is now used as the standard or benchmark to the industry. Our varied business activities range from the supply of single standard components to tailor made solutions to suit a customer's individual requirements. We can design and project manage complete systems, providing the customer with the optimum solutions. By doing this then stable bridge building is prevented. Furthermore the pressure of the bulk material column on the outlet will be reduced. The result is that the bulk material can be discharged better and the discharge components will be protected. As well as a higher degree of operational safety this also has positive effects on the durability of the components. The installation and configuration of the SHW-SHS relief systems will be adjusted to the properties of the bulk material and is available for both steel and concrete silos.
